How is it that other countries like France and Canada have resisted following in Americas footsteps but England appears to be falling for Farages shite? I'm terrified.

You know how some books are like a tube of pringles and you just gorge yourself and love it and read it one sitting? And then others are like a rich chocolate tart and so perfect but you can't gorge on it? I'm threading the latter type and it's so gooood.

Lovely age gap relationship, bi awakening, protective mmc, lots and lots of appearances from other characters from the Cora-verse... And a gorgeous HEA.

I absolutely love being in @coraroseromance.bsky.social patreon and getting ARCs. I ATE this one up today. I'm completely in love with both MMCs and adored their story. Bane breadcrumbs were ✨️elite✨️ and I'm extremely intrigued by another side character... IYKYK. Out 25th April. Highly recommend 👌❤️

Fell for some hype and attempted to read an F/M romance for the first time about 2 years. I won't name it because it's not fair but man... nowhere near as good as queer romance. Prob is I'm 80%in and refuse to dnf, so it counts to my reading goal. Bored AF.

Loved this book so much. Can't wait for the audio... hope there are more stories to come in this series 🥰

But I'm not sure I can add anything else to the weird discourse. I hope the author doesn't listen to it all. Can you imagine how hard that would be? Anyway. Thank you for coming to my rambly TedTalk...

The Mercenary and The Mortician, both of which were loved by mm and dark romance readers... Rina Kent suffers from a really difficult fanbase because she's attempting to portray MM as well as MF dark romance and it seems like fans of the latter struggle with the former? I could go on...

NotThatKindOfReader @notthatreader.bsky.social · 22/03/2025

Did I enjoy it? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes, IF you like dark romance, mm, and are ok to read triggering content. Many people would not have the level of criticism I've seen if it if another author had written I think... there were similar noncon/dubcon scenes in That Sick Bargain as well as

NotThatKindOfReader @notthatreader.bsky.social · 22/03/2025

I feel it does struggle a little in terms of pacing of the plot. There are a few "blink and you'll miss them" type hints then an avalanche in the final third. I also feel like whatever she wrote in this book would struggle to live up to the legacy of God of Fury...

NotThatKindOfReader @notthatreader.bsky.social · 22/03/2025

Healing to read (the mind is intricate)... likewise many victims don't, so I get the unease of some readers. That said, the thing I feel like RK nailed with it is character, specifically that of Gareth. He's the most complex she's written in the books of hers I've read (LOG).

NotThatKindOfReader @notthatreader.bsky.social · 22/03/2025

So... Kiss the Villain seems super divisive?? I've been reading it and see it getting lots of criticism for non con/dub con content... both of which are listed in the triggers and don't seem a problem for many readers in GOM... also worth remembering that many victims of SA/🍇 find such content>

I'm struggling through a major book slump due to an ongoing health scare and medical gaslighting... Not being able to concentrate on reading has been a horrible side effect. A couple of brilliant ARCs are getting me through... kindness is everything, and art in all forms can be so kind.

Musk suffers from the same delusion as his fans: he imagines he knows things because he has money. This has caused him to repeatedly embarrass himself publicly, and the humiliation makes him more resentful of criticism instead of triggering self reflection. He shouldn't be anywhere near government

I'm intrigued to find out the other MMCs backstory too... @authorallyavery.bsky.social is keeping me guessing with this arc

000

NotThatKindOfReader @notthatreader.bsky.social · 08/03/2025

To give a bit more context - one MMC has been abused and mistreated by a previous partner but didn't really understand that was the case. The other MMC is a gruff older man who is able to see the red flags of abuse. There are on page descriptions of abuse by the precious partner so check triggers.

Currently reading the arc of this by Ally Avery and I'm 75% through. Anyway, you know when people say "the spice is really integral to the plot"... this is actually one of those. Two broken men one of whom is helping the other understand consent whilst still having riproaring sex. Check triggers!
