Major retailers are preparing the software on their gas pumps, for when the price goes above $10/gallon. They already had to do this in the late 70s, when mechanical pumps didn't have a 'dollars digit' on the price. Stations had to set the mechanical computer to charge at the half-gallon rate.

Trump had districts where he was up +10-20 points in '24. Now he's pushed for gerrymandering and cheesed of the entire populace. Those districts are now only +2 or +3, and everyone hates him. This November there will be a blue wave the likes of which we haven't seen in a generation.

Gas has gone up 20 cents per gallon in the last five days in my hometown. It's now at $5.25. Diesel is over $7. Winter is coming, and the price of heating fuel is gonna break my budget. Meanwhile, the President mocks 'affordability', and charges tens of thousands of dollars apiece for a photo op.

I live in a state (WA) where ALL voting is done by mail. There's been a lot of talk about the USPS slow walking people's ballots and trying to reconcile names to questionable lists, etc. I don't actually have a choice, and neither does anyone else here. We will ALL be voting by mail.

Notes on grammar. Ending a sentence in a preposition is one of the most egregious grammar crimes one can engage in. But to casually split infinitives would be worse. Proofreading pervents misspellings, misunderstandings and oxford commas. And overuse of hyperbole is the worst crime of all time.
