If one knows soccer and, you know, WATCHED THE GAME, you know how the US stole Paraguay’s soul in this one. Paraguay quit. Because the US broke them. This could have been a 4, 5, 6 goal win. Bill nails it. If this looks anything like Mexico-South Africa to you, you did not actually watch.

Let’s give Michelle Kang massive credit here. This contract offer and associated fight is her declaring war on her fellow owners and trying to drag them kicking and screaming into the future. None of this happens without her ambition and bravery.

This is window #3 for DC United, starting from almost the lowest floor imaginable (Chicago is lower as we have Benteke). I have my doubts about trying to get so many international players to hit at once, but the first half of this season should tell us a lot about potential success or not.

Fully endorse all of this. Just so disappointing. I always ask “does anyone at MLS really care about American soccer?” This answers, if there are, they aren’t the ones that can control the decision-making there. Another thing in America that isn’t bad; isn’t good; is just marginal enough to sell.
