I do hate that a very small part of me kinda likes that the administration wants to rename "Artificial Intelligence" because anthropomorphizing it is exactly how we got to this point in time where people ACTUALLY BELIEVE that LLM's are conscious. Unfortunately, "Super Intelligence" is just as bad.

For what its worth, the last time I was in a Waymo at night, it stopped in the middle of the road for seemingly no reason. But when I looked at the LiDAR screen, it had actually detected a small black cat in the middle of the road. The car waited for it to cross the street before continuing.

Sometimes the same video I post on two different platforms gets COMICALLY different view counts, despite similar analytics. On YouTube Shorts, the video got 2K views. Awesome! But compare that to TikTok where the same video has 4.2 MILLION views 😮 So post your stuff, you never know what’ll pop off

Like I've said before, GenAI will not be stopped by regulation or advocacy - it'll be stopped by copyright infringement. Disney, Universal, & Warner Bros are suing Midjourney, not because of their diffusion model, but bc of their stolen training data. Best believe that if they win, OpenAI is next.
