Kasabian - ACT III I will probably need to go back to other Kasabian hits to really appreciate this more, but this was a great time. While you kind of get the same idea of the album with most of these songs, it’s all pretty funky, and it never got stale. Favourite track: SOULMATE

Bear Ghost - Tiny Hitman Super fun. Flips the style around once more and brings in new wackjob sound and energy with an impressive variety the whole way through. Finely paced, and with quite a sense of humour inbetween it all. Favourite track: Scarebnb

This Mii, Matt, was created today, 20 years ago. He first appeared in Wii Sports which released just a few months after. We can tell exactly when he was created by datamining his file in Wii Music: August 30th, 2006, at 4:24 AM.

Sarah and the Safe Word - The Disappearing Girl Highlight of the year. Been one of my most anticipated releases for a while, and it paid off, getting immersed in this sound is utterly euphoric. Pure chills when I heard Godforbid’s voice. Favourite track: We Are Animals

Ashnikko - Smoochies Basically impossible to quantify, but one thing I can say is I liked this a hell of a lot more than WEEDKILLER overall. Recommended. Favourite track: Liquid

ALT - L’envie Solid, yet pretty samey the whole way through, alongside some odd filtering on perfectly good vocals. Still, pretty mature and brisk overall. I could see this really growing into a fully established style if I ever hear more from this project. Favourite track: SPINE

Wet Leg - moisturizer While some of that prime goofiness is still clearly here, it’s taking a more relaxed and sentimental approach. Really just another short and sweet listen much like before, that I feel like I could put on any time. Definitely worthwhile. Favourite track: pond song

Dead Sara (self titled) While some songs blend right into each other, this is just a very confident and emotional listen through and through. Emily’s already strong voice is matched by incredibly rough and imposing sound. I’m into it. Favourite track: Face to Face

Nobody talks about the less prominent but equally as interesting trend from the late 2000's-2010's where so many women protagonists in games looked like they were the lead singer of an obscure emo band

That Handsome Devil - Drugs and Guns for Everyone Super funky. Leaning more into the line of black comedy yet again, this is the most unique album of the bunch so far, I can feel something different with each song. Very likely my top pick of these so far. Favourite track: The Face For It

It’s important to note that this beat also goes so hard. the best part about the lonely island is that even making the dumbest shit they had the fundamentals down. The Weird Al principle

Time to talk about it now that some time has passed: 4 months ago I was given an opportunity to pitch a show to @glitchprod.com. They sadly turned it down, but it was a great experience! I still think a series about an introverted pansexual and an extroverted asexual could be a hit. Maybe one day!

Shayfer James - Shipwreck Deeply atmospheric yet oddly recognizable. Seems built off what was presented in Counterfeit Arcade, but now followed up on while bringing its own sound and style. A short and sweet, hazy journey Favourite track: First Date

Ella Red - IT’S NOT REAL Not what I was expecting, a darker turn on this specific musical style, pretty atmospheric and does a lot to switch up its sound, especially late in. Great beats all around and quite an interesting and fresh debut. I recommend. Favourite track: Spider String

That Handsome Devil - A City Dressed In Dynamite A bit samey after a while, but absolutely funky and really elaborate as expected. Shines brightest in terms of lyrics. The group is sticking to its guns, expanding on the signature sound heard in its debut. Solid. Favourite track: Reagan’s Kids

ParaNorma - Norma All the heavy filtering over the perfectly good vocals doesn’t really do it for me, but this is a pretty solid and concise electronic work, very clearly sentimental as well. Would love to hear more like this from Norma in the future. Favourite track: Ghostlight

Madison Beer - locket Some of the only radio hit stuff I tend to listen to in my own time and will, this is a consistent and solid new hit, plain and simple. Sappy, saucy, electric, and something I could pop on whenever I feel. Favourite track: bad enough

Cosmo Sheldrake - The Much Much How How and I Feels like a musical version of swimming deep into an ocean, really soft sound up until the last few tracks, making some nice buildup. Very peacful and imaginative the whole way through, a dreamlike delight. Favourite track: Linger Longer

Veruca Salt - Ghost Notes This is the only one I haven’t heard multiple times so it was nice to finally go back on it. A classic no strings attached Veruca Salt album on par with the classics, very lengthy and moody feel the whole album. Favourite track: Black and Blonde

The Lonely Island - Turtleneck & Chain Hilarious. Great guests combined with full on pisstake white boy rap nonsense about nothing in particular, somehow completely different from Incredibad in sound while remaining authentic to that formula. Favourite track: Jack Sparrow

Wet Leg (self titled) Fun little album, very simple and free sound with a lot of variety, and everything sounds and feels pretty real and raw. Just a very smooth, no strings attached listen throughout, very interested in what moisturizer has in store. Favourite track: I Don’t Wanna Go Out

Linkin Park - Reanimation Incredibly raw sound, especially for nonstop remixes. Hybrid Theory was already pretty complete but this feels like it’s complimentary to that while standing entirely on its own. Don’t sleep on this one Favourite track: My<Dsmbr

Paramore - Riot! Liking the Paramore journey so far. Mostly untouched from last album in sound and style but definitely much more instrumentally standout and confident, if this is their formula then I'm pretty content with what they're set on. Favourite track: Fences

Paramore - All We Know Is Falling And we're back. Kicking it off with a classic discovery, not bad for a first couple listens. Simple sound and strong vocals, very of its specific time and I do like that, a smooth listen overall, interested in how they shake this up. Favourite track: Emergency
