A chalk picture taking up a parking space. It is of the traditional Escher hands drawing each other. The hands are shown holding pieces of sidewalk chalk. One is holding a teal piece of chalk and the other a lavender piece of chalk, and each is drawing colored accents on the cuffs of the other hand. It is astonishingly good. The artist signed his name as Bob Aftosmes.

A drawing of a crab on a beach with waves and sky behind it. The sky has puffy orange and yellow clouds; the water shows distorted reflecting colors of the sky. The beach is shaded from a dark rust color through a lighter orange color and into a tan color. The crab is kind of squarish, but pretty detailed. The astonishing thing is that this is done in sidewalk chalk on an asphalt surface. How can you even do this with chalk? The artist names are present, but strangely illegible, considering the amazing work of the picture.

There were millions of people at No Kings and I was two of them. This is a picture from the smaller one at our local town, where there were 300 people. I did not attempt to take any pictures from downtown Boston, where there were tens of thousands. #NoKings #Boston

Saved up a snow picture from the recent storm to post today #DoorsDay #Snowpocalypse

It was above freezing for the first time in a week, so I took a bike ride to the town hall for some errands. (Roads were decent, due to good plowing and a few sunny days since last snow.) Parking lot: plowed. Sidewalk: shoveled and salted. Bike rack: bzzt. #BikeTooter

Background: a white building with windows and a porch with a railing. In front of it are two of the freestanding bike lockup things that look like a capital greek phi, completely surrounded by about a foot of snow. In front of the whole thing is a shoveled sidewalk. There is a US post box to the side.

A deep cardboard box (can't really see but it's about 24 inches tall) which is open at the top. The other dimensions are about 18 by 6 inches. A gray tabby cat looks up at the camera from the bottom of the box, which is a good fit side-to-side.

Why is one of the buttons red? On the other three elevators the right-hand 6 is lit in green. On all of the elevators all of the buttons are lit in green. It's just this one. Red right returning? #DoorsDay

I went to a coordinated #SignsOfFascism activism thing in a nearby town organized by the local #Indivisible chapter. Just 15 or so people spread out along the road. #USPol

A crowd of people, most of them holding protest signs for "no kings". The crowd extends into the distance, where you can see trees and Boston skyline behind them, below a crystal-clear blue sky. Some people are wearing short sleeves, but most have some kind of light outerwear.
