No swimming for us! #SilentSunday #cyanobacteria
A retaining wall made of a large rectangular gray granite stones. Below the wall is a little bit of sandy/muddy/rocky shore. Calm water comes up to that shore, and there are streaks of green slime paralleling the shore. Above and behind the wall is some shrubbery, and a little grass with an upside down blue kayak.

I went to an electric car event today. It was at a boat manufacturer that’s making electric boats, Flux Marine in RI. It was great; we got a ride on a nice rigid inflatable boat and a tour of the facility. Very quiet and fast. Not sure I’ll be replacing my current ski boat at the $100K price tag […]

Housemate and I did a puzzle the other day. This one was 300 pieces, a pleasurable way to spend half an evening. #DoorsDay #JigsawPuzzle #JigsawPuzzles
A jigsaw puzzle atop a wood table. The image is of 10 colorful exterior doors in two rows of five. The doors themselves are of a contrasting color to the surrounding frame and siding.
some examples:
Black door, fairly elaborate wide and tall white frame, red siding.
red door, white frame, green siding, small purple flowerpot hanging from doorframe.
gold door, pink frame, black siding.
white door, brownish pink siding, "apotek" written above the door, and a lion statue above the lintel.

A section of the trunk of a small tree with pale grayish bark. On the lower portion of the tree there is a horizontal oval burl about as wide as the tree. Above the burl are two swirly shaped blemishes with a little lichen above one of them. The overall effect is of a face showing from the tree.

Be ye wantin' to pass, ye must slip past the Guard Cat #Caturday #TalkLikeAPirate
Gray tabby cat crouched on top of a short partial wall, staring over the edge into the doorway. On the wall is the top half of a poster entitled "a history of the United States Congress", subtitle partisan and ideological makeup. Below is three columns, the center one with the dates and names of presidents starting with Obama and going backward down to Ford where it is cut off, and the sidelines for House and Senate, showing what looks like a river with various shades of red and blue (for more and less in their ideological directions). (It's actually a really cool poster.) In the background you can see a table with some papers and computer peripherals, and a window out onto green foliage.

@0x4d6165 real communism is tried all the time. Your average family practices it. If grandma has to move in with you, it happens and you don’t charge her rent, right? We just can’t move on to “anyone” who needs help and isn’t related to you or your tribe.

A chalk picture taking up a parking space. It is of the traditional Escher hands drawing each other. The hands are shown holding pieces of sidewalk chalk. One is holding a teal piece of chalk and the other a lavender piece of chalk, and each is drawing colored accents on the cuffs of the other hand. It is astonishingly good. The artist signed his name as Bob Aftosmes.A drawing of a crab on a beach with waves and sky behind it. The sky has puffy orange and yellow clouds; the water shows distorted reflecting colors of the sky. The beach is shaded from a dark rust color through a lighter orange color and into a tan color. The crab is kind of squarish, but pretty detailed. The astonishing thing is that this is done in sidewalk chalk on an asphalt surface. How can you even do this with chalk? The artist names are present, but strangely illegible, considering the amazing work of the picture.A sidewalk chalk drawing of a gigantosaurus (labeled, but cut off at the top) on an asphalt background. The dinosaur is shown in gray with wrinkled skin details in black and brown, on a mostly blue background with some gray shading. It is signed Jacob L. It's pretty amazing that you can do this with chalk.A very nice sidewalk chalk drawing of a toucan sitting on a branch with pink and orange flowers and jungle themed green foliage above and below. The drawing takes up an entire parking space and is signed "Chen family".
