Part of the problem here is that Collier’s success was at the start of the season and Wilson’s came on near the end. Unfortunately it wasn’t more of a horse race. MVP is always fun to fight over as it’s so subjective.

I don’t think that matters at all here. Collier had more success for herself and her team in a shorter period of time than Wilson. The replacement level discussion is like penalizing someone for playing less minutes per game but has comparable stats.

Oh I’m not saying all Govt should be run like a business as the goal of Govt is to provide for/serve the people, not maximize profit. In the case of the Govt extending loans to a company, however, it should get a fair return as determined by the risk it takes.

I’ll float an idea for you re: algorithm driven apps. Classify them as Publishers, just like traditional media, with the same liability and risk that TV, radio and newspapers have. Liability-free behavior is ridiculous.

The WNBA is trying to "appropriate" the team for themselves and then pimp it out for "relocation fees". Their pet destination (Houston) couldn't even come up with the $250M for expansion! After years of scamming the players, none of this is surprising.
