I would love to find Australian and New Zealand Substackers that aren’t talking about how to make money on Substack. LMK your recommendations - especially why you like them! Thank you!

Hey freelancer, always choose the person who chooses you back. How do you spot that person in a crowd? They: Are optimistic about your success Inspire you & increases your courage Feed possibility And when they give you advice, you can feel their belief, not their doubts, running through it.

This. Is. Amazing. Finally, an ebook alternative for Amazon, but for independent bookstores. This is amazing for readers who want to be more intentional about where you're spending your money. 📖 #BookSky

Suspending DEI hires and making them prove they have the merits for the job is okay. Meanwhile, the people who got their jobs through the old boys network, nepotism, and having the right friend or secret handshake have nothing to worry about and are accountable to no one. Seems legit /sarcasm

Hey #Brisbane folks! I'm looking for a good place to host a @notion.com meetup (for fun, for free). I've lived here for 4 years, but only know good parks to makes my kids run wild while I have a chat with friends. I need something a bit more professional. Any ideas?

Someone needs to remake Die Hard with dogs - Dog Hard. Hans Gruber would be a very pretty Collie or a German Shepherd called Hands Goober. John Macclane would be a Staffy in a singlet. The brothers would be blonde Afghans. Who is with me?

The only thing surprising about Elon acting like an arsehole is that people seem surprised. Once you view him as fourteen year old trollboy who gratifies himself by outraging people, the mystery is solved. PS: stop blaming it on Autism. His emotional immaturity has sod all to do with being NNT.

In the best art & film documentaries, not a single person telling you how to do it or replicate them. They're exploring themselves in relation to the art, possibility, and practice. They observe themselves without certainty. Show, don't tell, reigns. Business storytelling could learn a lot here.

Vale David Lynch. The artist who got into film so he could make his paintings "live and breathe" has died. Thank you for teaching us all about the spaces between us and the depth in the ordinary in such a kick ass way. Time to rewatch The Art Life doco. www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6sl...

This is the best review my art has received to date. Inky the black cat is celebrating their inner demon hard at the sight of a wooden coffin I sent a friend. This makes me want to send out more weirdness. Even if I do scare the crap out of unsuspecting post office personnel in the process. 😂

Two achievements unlocked today: 1) Had a meeting with a rad human about a cool collaboration. 2) Mailed an excellent present that raised eyebrows for all the right reasons. None of which I remembered to Instagram, even though I told myself beforehand I should. Makes it sweeter that way.

Fire doesn’t discriminate, but unfortunately humans do. People with disabilities are 2-4 times more likely to die during a disaster than people without disabilities. If you don’t plan for people with disabilities in crisis response, you’re not planning for their survival

If you'd like to support your fave authors in 2025 but you're skint, you could: - make a social media post about the book, just as basic as "i enjoyed this" and a picture (don't forget alt-text) - rec it in a relevant reddit thread or Goodreads forum or Facebook group Word of mouth has an impact!
