Made a reservation at Liard Hot Springs for thanksgiving. 🇨🇦 7 Hour Dr. we have three nights there. We used to do this every Thanksgiving we would cook a turkey in our 18 foot camper van only good memories. Just bought two big turkeys on sale, but I think we will cook Cornish hens.🥰 leave next Friday

Scary thing happened today. Took Mia to pet store for nail trim, nice walk after, then long-term care to visit Mom and other residents. Got home, got distracted unloading things from car and she disappeared for 10 minutes😱 she wandered off and was found on the other side of the fence😥

Well, this is not the update I wanted to share. Fraser is at the emergency vet with Mia. 😞 she has a UTI. They did ultrasound discovered that her anatomy, including a very recessed vulva might mean that she’s going to be susceptible to repeated UTIs, which means she may need surgery eventually

Today we arrived at a campground which is only about a day drive from the boat. There was a sign that says dog beach so we went down there and literally there was an entire fenced area with picnic tables let your dogs run around off leash and swim and it’s all fenced 😍

Starla had long walk with dad and took Mia to town. ran into a guy with two off leash dogs and I called are they friendly and he says he doesn’t know😱 said they weren’t his dogs he leashed up and detoured. Not what I had in mind for socialization😞

Newfound freedom now that Mia has had all of her shots. We can do some other very fun walks. Sprang my friend from the hospital and we went on a lovely little walk to a sweet lake nearby. Starla went tracking with dad and had a long walk.

We had a really nice camping trip. Starla went for a very long first mountain hike with daddy for several hours way up high and Mia had her first expedition on a paddleboard and her first off leash beach run with just me. It was great nice weather but not hot.

Quick update camping now and Starlink not super reliable. Starla has gone hiking with dad. I took Mia paddled boarding. She knows how to swim apparently😜 Agility was a mixed bag of fun, frustration and important learning. Going to take some time to figure it all out. We are very proud of our girl😍

Quick update been a lot of fun and very challenging. We have placed her in new events she’s learning a lot. She has yet to complete anything but tunnels, but this is OK. Lots of other teams making mistakes even at the elite level. last day today, wish us luck hopefully post photos later.

Mia just had her final series of shots. She’s 16 weeks on Friday. She’s now 31 pounds. We’re going to the boat in three weeks and asked about a tick treatment and they recommended Simparica Trio. I reminded her about how Lola died in my suspicions about this drug.😭 we will use a topical
