Brought in all the cat furniture from the catio and swept. Treated the patio decking with linseed oil potash soap (no idea how to translate linoljesåpa).

Very wet wooden decking waiting to absorb the linseed oil treatment I scrubbed it with. In a corner my deck chair is stacked with some other bare furniture where it will stay over winter.

Today I'm having leftover rice for dinner, fried with peppery cheese and an egg, flavored with tomato and crispy chili. Served with cold peanut sauce and some thick yoghurt.

For #ShowMeYourKnits what I'm excited about and proud of is my Rockhound Vest I'm working on. :)

The back piece (down to and including the arm scye increases) of a sweater vest in pale purple cashmere yarn. It's heavily textured with twisted stitches.

Here’s what I got. Cheese, local honey, apple butter, bell peppers, hard candy and a ring made from an old spoon they made while I watched. And the tray, because stepdad has one exactly the same and I wanted it.

A tray with a jar of apple butter, two green peppers, two wedges of cheese, hard orange candy and a jar of honey. Zevran is sniffing curiously at the cheese.

On top of the jar of honey is a ring made by cutting a teaspoon to the correct length and then bending it into a ring shape.

That might be the stables. And a view across the water towards buildings that may have been some of the workers’ housing. I saw more along the road on my way driving, but couldn’t stop.

Might be part of the stables. At least there’s a hay bale in the door opening there.

They have a concert in the upstairs ballroom today, so I’ll listen to that. :) (Coloratura Soprano, opera or operetta I think - didn’t see a listing of which pieces.)

This place (the manor of the ironworks village) looks a fair bit like the place I went for a silence retreat for my 50th birthday.

The red petunias are still going strong!

A view into my catio from outside in the dark. Red petunias are blooming violently in a hanging basket, next so some tomato plants with unripe tomatoes on it. Inside the catio, Opal my cat is hanging out on a shelf. The light from the living room looks cozy.

That was fun! I like words. :)

A picture of a computer screen showing my score in the word game Outlier. I got 747 points and four words nobody else found. That’s probably affected by the fact I played it early after today’s version was released. The four words no one else found so far was waxen, boreal, fluted and barmy.

Zevran’s fur is starting filling out again, just a little. It’ll probably take weeks for it to get good again. (As good as it gets with his fine coat.) It’s the lighter patch - not easy to show in a picture.

I haven’t had a drawer insert for my cutlery since I moved in. It seemed like a silly thing to buy new and expensive. I’ve kept an eye out for a used one, but not very actively, and today I found one! Perfect fit, too. :)

A cutlery drawer filled with appropriate things. The insert is white plastic which has yellowed a bit along the front.

I stole a quick glance but I didn't have anything so I couldn't see any shape of it. And the brightness didn't seem less than usual. Fun to meet a few neighbors though!
