Mechanicus 2 is so close to being a good game. It lacks options, player choice, customization, and the story is very linear. Ive played for 21 hours and none of the choices you make during exploration change the missions in any way. Overall its like a 4/10 game right now.

Ive been diving deep into Pokémon card collecting recently. One of my main goals atm is to collect one of every Kabutops card ever. Them and kabuto are my favorites.

I do Commission painting but I tend not to advertise that I do. Mostly because Im on a frozen rock in the middle of the ocean. It would cost to much to ship the models to me then the shipping back but If someone were to trust me to buy the army and paint it then its only one way shipping.

Been thinking a lot about how Star Wars Armada has died and how there is no large ship game really on the market. GW could make a killing with Battlefleet gothic but for some reason wont.

More than ever: Be kind (but put up with no shit.) Be peaceful (but defend against the violent) Uplift and hold space for others (but do not give platforms to the intolerant) Find balance between all (but never suffer those who would tip or destroy the scales)

This I think is why I dont like 3rd edition of Heresy. I spent weeks converting, building and painting this army, only for it to just be gone. Not legends, gone.

Four hours painting one face. Paid off I reckon 😅 The rest of the osl is just the first bit of light placement sketching. It'll look much better eventually! #osl #abaddon #eyeofterror #warhammer40k #warhammerart #miniatures #minipainting #paintingwarhammer

Close-up image of the current WIP state of my miniature painting interpretation of the original and iconic warhammer artwork "eye of terror" by Karl Kopinski. It shows the face and chest area of abaddon the despoiler. A lot of it is still just primed black, but the face and some of the armor detail is now painted in red and yellow osl with a purple backlight.

Side-by-side comparison of the close-up image of the current WIP state of the Abaddon project. On the left is my miniature interpretation of the art on the right, the original and iconic warhammer artwork "eye of terror" by Karl Kopinski. Both are zoomed in on the face and chest area of abaddon the despoiler.

It is now painted in red and yellow osl with a purple backlight to closely resemble the iconic artwork.

WIP state of my miniature painting interpretation of the original and iconic warhammer artwork "eye of terror" by Karl Kopinski. The face and chest area of abaddon the despoiler is now painted in red and yellow osl with a purple backlight and the planet that is being crushed by the power claw is painted in blue green and white as well, while rifts in the planets surface are painted yellow orange and red. The rest of the model, the backdrop and the many little epic scale marines are unpainted and still primed black.
