I had too much to dream last night. SCOTUS had given presidents immunity for official acts, day on 1, the new president had Trump and his enablers arrested and deported to the Central African Republic Then I woke up. Apparently, presidential immunity expires the moment a Democrat tries to use it.

My word for the day is “excoriated.” I was thinking about the likelihood that Trump will never be convicted or spend a day in jail. But those who helped him may be excoriated for the rest of their lives—and some may spend those years serving the time he never will.

I’ve decided to take a sabbatical from posting on Bluesky. Its algorithm doesn’t connect me with those I chose to follow, I feel abandoned, and its format is too limiting for what I write. I had high hopes—“high apple-pie-in-the-sky hopes.” Until we meet again, my friends. Thanks.

If every safeguard requires another safeguard because we can’t trust the last safeguard, the problem isn’t security anymore. It’s paranoia with a ballot number.

America proved prosperity could grow while reaching millions more people. Then we were sold a remarkable idea: if ordinary Americans get a bigger slice, you must lose yours. The pie kept growing. The problem wasn't growth. It was who increasingly got the new slices.

Here in inland MA, the impact of climate change hasn’t hit nearly as hard as other areas. But, with climate change unevenly spread across country, insurance cos. need to spread our risk, hence my rising insurance costs. & repair costs are up. OR just price gouging like we’ve seen in many industries.
