I forgot how bad this display was. The scratches in the display protector don't help. Might do the whole modding thing. Don't know if any of the original components hold any value except the main board. And the display cover seems aftermarket already. #gba

It's alive! Somewhat... It's just the power switch that seems to be flaky. I think for now I'll just reassemble the case and hope everything goes. If it decides not to work again I'll try to desolder and fix it. Worst case there are replacements available. #gba

Ok, guess I don't have a spare. It seems to be glued to the packaging. Not sure if that's a symptom of battery leakage, but it does make me uncomfortable...

Wanted to figure why my old #GBA doesn't turn on. Nothing on the board seemed obviously broken. So I got out the old voltage meter. It also doesn't turn on. So this is the current state of things:

The textbox says "Hi! Click here to edit this textbox! To the right you find the toolbox. There you can add things (try clicking the chibis), change backgrounds and more! Use the camera icon to download the image."

A very similar image to the first, but rendered on github ci with ubuntu-latest. The black outline of the text is noticeably bolder, and the spacing of the letters is slightly off.

An amplified difference view between the two images. Most of the text is brightly highlighted and readable, since there are so many differences in the pixels.
But behind it, where the texture for the textbox is are also more faint colors, implying that even just putting a transparent image on a filled image can produce different outputs.
