In my favorite online communities, I enjoy the ability to say "I'm gonna make something silly with my OC interacting with your OC" and be confident that the other person is going to be completely cool and trust where I go with my idea, and not feel the need to be defensive with formalities I think

@oxfruit.art My 2nd hand copy of Directions of Destiny has finally arrived. After 20 years, I have the physical copy in my hands!

I just realized that it's the year of the horse next year so maybe people will finally recognize Gunma-chan

You could spend a bunch of time learning new skills but if you're not making any money from it, people are gonna say "what are you doing with your life" 🫠 (vent over)

Just released Gunma-chan S2 - 03: Daruma Omikuji/Jomo Karuta Tournament/Gunma-chan Has a Toothache with NovaWorks. This will be our final release of Gunma-chan, but I'm proud of what we've put together. Thank you for following us this far and I hope you enjoy the rest with the officials. Mata ne~!

@oxfruit.art Hiya Hans! (Or should I say Slimu?) I just wanted to let you know that these wonderful animated gifs you made 25 years ago still live on as Discord emotes in my friends' servers 😃 And I love everything you've made since then as well! ❤️ Wishing you the best for 25 more years!

For those of you who don't like to just use a service like spotify and still like to curate your own music collection, you can get free (and open source) automated metadata tagging of your files by using Musicbrainz Picard. I only just learned about this semi-recently and it's great

Urging people to play #awaria, not just for the toxic yuri ghost girls, or because the dev previously made helltaker or because it's free. But because this is a vibe (It's also a pretty hard game that goes hard)

In case anyone else also had the sudden hankering to play really old 2001 JP windows games (me!) you can still do so with Lutris (with a tiny amount of tinkering). Just remember to set LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8 and run fluidsynth in the background for the midi to work (with the standard gm.sf soundfont)

All of a sudden, I am in the mood for obsessing about Nanao from Robot Alchemic Drive. In the memes, she is just the right amount of tragedy and (unintentional) comedy to tickle the part of my brain that is into that kind of stuff. And I wanna recreate that dynamic in the stuff I make going forward

I made Pico Park 2 whiteboard fanart of internet friends who played this game with me XD

noro @nor0.bsky.social · 05/10/2024

If you have the right group of silly/whimsical friends in voice chat, Pico Park 2 is probably one of the best multiplayer games in spite of difficulty (or perhaps because of the difficulty XD)

Going to the gym and spending outdoors is actually fun for me now. What is happening to me!?!?!

For the first time in almost a decade, I logged into the Facebook account that I had forgotten to delete. It felt like I had accidentally touched a Palantir and gazed into the eye of Sauron before I logged back out 😓 Going to let that sleeping dog lie just for a little longer

As someone who has lived a relatively long time on the internet, I've seen many personalities eventually move on from their brilliantly exciting chuuni phase to simply recede to some next phase of life. It's a bit poignant. Sometimes I wish they could stay for a little longer, just for me.

As someone who does a fair bit of 3d modeling and rigging, watching a Live2D tutorial and learning about all the things people do to rig a 2.5D vtuber model is blowing my mind right now

I remember when I used to work in a game dev company, there was this artist who I would always pass by on the way to my desk. She was almost always slacking off drawing cats. Realistic cats, cartoon cats, cats in different kinds of sizes; she just really loves drawing cats.

On a whim, I've decided to transcribe Japanese novels by hand again. Japanese input on Linux isn't half bad these days. And I still remember my kanji for the most part

I tried to make an ambigram of my internet handle, but the best I could do at the moment was a 2013-era Treasury Secretary Jacob Yew. And I call myself a typesetter I'll get there eventually 😭

On AMQ today, the host decided to set the game to insert songs only. I took it as my cue to say "Ok, that's all the time I've got. I gotta get back to playing Animal Crossing New Leaf on my New Nintendo 3DS."

The last time I was at a Wework trying to cream my coffee, I looked through the fridge with 15 different containers of milk all with broken seals and more than half of them have gone bad while still within the expiry date It had the energy of an apartment where all the roommates hate each other

3d nostalgia food grandma and I used to eat this stuff. It was salty. But when broken up over plain unseasoned white rice, it became the seasoning you get it at the same place you get lao gan ma maybe probably contains chemicals so I don't eat it so often anymore
