After many requests, I finally accessed what turned out to be the saddest and smallest library I have ever seen. I was surprised to find that the books were not categorized by author or Dewey number but size. I tried to find a book before my allotted time ended and picked a cooking book; the second time I got a novel. I began flipping through the pages in search of solace, as books have always been my safe haven. To my surprise, I discovered handwritten notes scattered throughout the book, dated and written by various detainees over time. These messages were filled with reminders of hope, strength, and the assurance that this, too, shall pass. Tears welled up in my eyes as I read their heartfelt expressions. It’s incredible how human beings can find ways to uplift each other, transcending time, space, and borders if they want to and if they choose to. I continued to turn the pages, holding on to the hope of finding brighter moments in this terrifying situation—all thanks to the kindness of people I had never met.

🩸Fun fact! today is international blood donors day! 🩸 In honour of this important day, I present a comic I've been sitting on for a while: Pebbles Works at the Blood Factory (1/2)

Page 1 of Pebbles work's at the Blood Factory. Pebbles, a white bunny wearing a blue dress and an ascot is riding the subway to her job at the blood factory. Her narration proceeds as follows "Hello Poetry Journal! I'm hoping that by writing down my day in you, all documentary style, I'll make new headway on my haikus. It's been difficult, but I'm still hoping all these jobs will help me follow Humbert Von Boquest's teachings." The next panel contains an image of Pebbles imagining an image of Boquest reciting one of his Haikus which serves as a manifesto for the Boquest Haiku revival movement. "It's a poets duty. To have to seek worldliness... Frost on Windowpane." Pebbles' recollection is interrupted by a dinging sound from the bus and says "Oh! That's my stop!"

Page 2. In panel 1 Pebbles stands outside the tall spire of the blood factory. Its imposing and spewing smog from large smokestacks. They narrate "Well, this is it. Another day another dollar!" In the next panel they put a paper bag with eye holes over their head and enter the factory. They narrate "They started asking us to wear paper bags on our heads for uniforms. Something about paper bag stocks falling and 'Our solemn duty to shareholders'" In the last panel the approach a desk with computer monitors on it. They narrate "Here's where I work... The Squelcher."

Page 3: In panel 1 Pebbles is sitting at their desk and looking towards a bank of security cameras that are pointed right at her. She narrates "Its a bit hard to seek poetic inspiration with prying eyes, but that's what my ingenious body double is for!" In the next panel they are holding up a body double made up of a trash bag body, a paper bag with button eyes for the head, and ears made of feather dusters. They put it down in their desk chair and leave the Squelcher room. In the last panel they pass by a huge bay of windows which show a large sinkhole in the ground with blood being poured into it from various pipes. Their narration reads "Perfect! Now to explore and document my findings! To start, I have to walk by The Pit. It's where all the blood seems to go. I don't know why, seems like a waste. But hey, I'm no businessman, they probably write it off for tax purposes."

In short, the main differences between Bforartists and Blender are:

An new default keymap, reduced to a minimal and necessary hotkey layout with 3D navigation that can be exclusively done by mouse.
Cleaned up User Interface. Lots of unnecessary double, triple or even more identical menu entries are combined, removed and/or exposed.
Extended User Interface. Many tools that were formerly hotkey only have a menu entry now. Rearranged User Interface. Some things are better accessible now, some less frequent operators are no-longer in the way anymore. Improved default settings. Colored Iconography with silhuette, color coding, form and detail consistently placed everywhere. A configurable toolbar with icon buttons. A pinnable tool shelf with the header based tools, exposed at a top-level in panels. Tabs in the toolshelf. A node add toolshelf for quick point and clickImproved default workspace layouts. Left aligned checkboxes and text where possible. Better and more tooltips. etc.
