And here are my GeekBench6/7 benchmarks for the Microsoft Surface Duo running my Android 16 ROM after making a few tweaks to RAM, GPU/CPU. It scored well, nothing crazy but the device is snappy. Im gonna eventually look into squeezing more performance out of it.

Here's someones stock benchmarks for the Microsoft Surface Duo running android 12. Its the highest i found from Geekbench browser, so its the baseline im using.

I'll keep working on the Surface Duo over time for both A16 and A17, but I will eventually hard shift to the Duo 2 since I'd like to daily drive that.

Soon I'll open the flood gates to my android 16 repo. Again things are buggy as far as gestures but it'll give anyone who wants to help a chance to report bugs and even join the project. A17 work will start sometime after that. And once I get A17 booted, I'll release that as well.

For the duo 1. The repos will be available the same day I release the ROM. Everyone will be able to have fun 😁 yes it will have bugs but, at that point I welcome everyone to go bug hunting and fixing.

Porting over the duo framework has been an interesting process. There's so many things that depend on other under the hood services/dependencies. That being said it's like 70% completed, the last 30% has been extremely difficult lol

Some things are working better than expected with my implementation even while not 100% functional (👈emphasis on that last part): Rotation A16 Split screen (really cool on the duo!) It's like having 4 monitors if you want 😂 Task switcher 360 fold And a few others

For the folks asking for an ETA, it truly depends on how quickly I can get the duo features up and running. I assume MOST people have the OG Duo and not the Duo2. So I shifted more of my efforts that way. This has been the most difficult part. #Microsoft #Android #SurfaceDuo #SurfaceDuo2

Slot A on the duo 1 is odd, it's almost like it was broken out of the factory. Trying to use it for anything outside of recovering to stock is a pain in the ass. When I do release my ports, I would suggest NOT using slot A and leaving it alone for returning to stock only.
