I'm very please to announce a public release of my drag-and-drop bookmarking, game-making, and wandering tool Scrubjay! Scrubjay is a weird website builder that lets you cobble together web elements, images, links, text fragments, etc into a series of nested rooms...
"SCRUBJAY" sits over a bunch of images of frogs, birds, doors. it's a very 90s look

Thanks, I will check it out! The incremental progress in the sequel set in 2150 is actually semi-autonomous corporate collectives. The collectives are managed by AIs whose priorities are set by real-time shareholder votes. Anyone who chooses to work for the collective accrues voting shares.

The co-opting is a central plot point! Black Ice ends on a global labor revolution in the 2080s. The next game is set in the ~2150s with better conditions for many but still capitalist exploitation of workers away from Earth. It will take many generations of effort to transition to a utopian system.

As someone working on multiple narrative games about how it will take sustained effort across multiple generations to replace capitalism with a more efficient and equitable system (games inspired by TNG too!), I'm always interested in how to keep it distinct from EA / longtermism language.

Over the summer my girlfriend moved in with her cat named Bug. The cat is developing a complex based on how many times I storm out of the office saying "I found another bug!" and "I have to fix this bug!"
An annoyed cat wearing a crown.

Black Ice explores how hostile systems radicalize people. You start hacking to get healthcare for your neighbor's 5-year old who was denied because cost of treatment exceeds her "lifetime earning potential". As you dig deeper, you keep finding more injustices, ultimately organizing a revolution.

My best friend decided to watch Farscape on my advice while staying up with his newborn so I had to make the baby some custom outfits for his favorite TV show, including one of Pilot.
3 homemade Farscape onesies:
1) Rygel with the quote "I'm nobody's puppet!"
2) Crichton with the quote "Humans. Are. Superior!" (S2E4)
3) Pilot with the quote "I don't get out much. So I read."

Back when I worked in swarm robotics, I tested the efficiency of different algorithms to search a space for a target. My favorite one was based on wolves, where you'd do one big movement to a new area, followed by a bunch of small movements in the vicinity to sniff out the target, then repeat.

My friend sent me this banner ad at the entrance of Walmart. Clearly companies no longer feel like they need to try to earn your business and that your spending is guaranteed.
A banner ad at the entrance of Walmart using an Ai generated image of a man with 2 children, all of which have majorly distorted facial features and bodies.

Thanks! I'm trying to show a climate collapse future where the corporations succeeded in dismantling regulation and governance, pushing us into worst case scenarios. Which also means those geoengineering projects are all unfolding without oversight.

Do you know of any resources where those potential projects are enumerated? I'm making a dystopian videogame set in the 2080s and I'm trying to show examples of successful and unsuccessful attempts.

One of the things I know about writing is this: spend it all, shoot it, play it, lose it, all, right away, every time. Do not hoard what seems good for a later place in the book or for another book; give it, give it all, give it now. The impulse to save something good for a better place later is the signal to spend it now. Something more will arise for later, something better. These things fill from behind, from beneath, like well water. Similarly, the impulse to keep to yourself what you have learned is not only shameful, it is destructive. Anything you do not give freely and abundantly becomes lost to you. You open your safe and find ashes.
