Maybe it's just a different way of viewing things but... I have always viewed programming as an art form. Electronics, separated from capital, can absolutely be considered art. Building planes, again, if one has the ability, there is societal joy to be found. Though, I see art in most things. Lol

Television is (arguably) more efficient than stage plays, in that you only need actors once and you can watch them on demand via streaming and physical media, but people still do and attend plays. Just because it won't be required to live doesn't mean it won't be enjoyable.
