I drank this "dark nectar oolong" experimental tea from moychay. (It's tieguanyin matured like liubao.) A 5* online review says "it's an amazing experience. Earthy potato skin, beetroot..." - and, well, I agree with the second half: it tastes like potato skins... #tea

#kitchendiary: Meera Sodha’s "kacang pool" (Malaysian bean stew) is nice & hearty. But despite it being "a levantine dish via Malaysia" it is suspiciously similar to a midweek improv! www.theguardian.com/food/2026/sep/0…

London's "Drummond Street" was beloved for its Indian food. It's a shame that this "intangible heritage" was touched with an axe (the HS2 construction work). Still, as half of what it was, it's still there! You can get a dosa in an unfussy restaurant that's […] [Original post on hostux.social]

The #1 thing about cooking - and it's amazing, - is the everyday improv genius that hits you in the face: "oops I bought this french bread when we already have bread at home and this leftover bit of tofu and ... WAIT A SECOND THIS IS BANH-MI! WE'RE HAVING BANH-MI TONIGHT OMG!" I really feel bad […]

Dutch friends: This is the BEST worst auto-translate I've encountered. Please read this history of the lekkerbek! #Dutch #funny Original and translated:

Auto-translated English: The history of the good-kip

Different stories circulate about the origin of the nicebeam. This is how the nice-kledge should have originated in IJmuiden 1 North Holland. A fish stall sold a gracious fish fillet and found that this specialty needed a different name than a ‘just philétje’. At the kitchen table it was decided: let's call it a nice little. It goes in the beck and it is good!

Another theory has to do with the kind of fish that were used for the nice ass. We used for ordination, but this fish was not really well known, because it was used as cat food. The ordination itself is literally a nice treat, because he likes to enjoy shrimp. You can also taste the taste of shrimps in the fish. In order to be able to sell the drainage, the breaded version was therefore sold as the nice bee.
