The city just needs to shut this light off during construction. There's no cross traffic, vehicular or pedestrian. Arizona dude in front of me didn't know better and waited for green. It's extra annoying because so many lights here don't work. Literally the next light is out. 🙄

It gets better. I went to take a shower and noticed the bathroom fan wouldn't come in afterwards. Came up front and Mike tells me half the circuits are out because one of the wires going into our house got pulled loose. Same with the folks on the other side.

We came to Lafayette for a festival. Last night we were with my friend who told us about it. Tonight we ran into some friends from BR. Then we went for pizza and the pizza place had Rabideaux's sausage. That is my favorite sausage. 😍 A good trip. Enjoyed the drive over on 90 too.

So I have this jigsaw puzzle that I was working on a few months ago. I put it aside and resumed it recently. It's been frustrating. I realized today that I had pre-sorted a whole lot of pieces into my little puzzle sorting trays which I then put back in the box. 🤦‍♀️😂

Meanwhile, over at the Freedia "hotel" on Decatur, we have a deal afoot to waive fines. I am pretty damn sure that building has caused more problems than Harry's Corner.

Landmark commission staff say they're working on a deal with the developers not to fine them as long as the project meets certain benchmarks, deciding that “utilizing this money towards renovation of the building and a return to commerce is the best course of action.”

Train is departing Mobile. This was a fun little trip and we both loved the train. Trip here was right on time. Hopefully this one will be too. But even if not, it seems like being delayed on the train would be better than sitting on a runway like we did going to DC. 🚄

Our hotel is across from the train platform. The morning train our of Mobile pulled away on time and has been sitting right there for over an hour. Better than being stuck on a plane for an hour. We've noticed on other departure and an arrival and those were on time.

An Amtrak train sits on the tracks, just past the boarding platform.

So nearly a month later I have heard nothing beyond a vague myChart message on August 5. I found someone who specializes in my issue at LSU Eye Center. Much more productive phone call and I have an appointment in November. I'll go ahead and keep the one in BR later this month too.
