GI non-CRC oral abstracts at #asco25 is 🔥. A few things: 1️⃣Dr Saeed had excellent summary of the GE/gastric studies 2️⃣PAXG (Abraxane, cisplatin, capecitabine, gemcitabine) superior to FOLFIRINOX for borderline and resectable PDAC 3️⃣TTFields positive in LA-PDAC vs gem/Abrax with 2 mo OS advantage

Early morning CSC session at #asco25 about multi-cancer detection testing which was excellent! The discussant hit all the conclusions well - low sensitivity and need for a randomized trial before can be taking to clinic are the key points

Congratulations to Alaska for passing into law bill SB15 which requires posting signs at point of sale for alcohol about the carcinogenic effects of alcohol for colon and breast cancer. (This is a first in the U.S.!) I am honored to have been able to testify on behalf of Rep Andrew Gray’s bill.

STARTER-NET/JCOG1901 trial lanreotide +/- everolimus in 1L non-secretory poor prognosis GEP-NET (Ki67 5-20% or diffuse liver mets) was interesting. Big increase in PFS but no change in overall survival+ more toxicity would suggest sequential use is still ok #GI25 meetings.asco.org/abstracts-pr...
