Yes. This needs to be resolved. As I said the “New NI” must be presented as a “health premium” and will initially need topping up by government, but must slowly rise as people realise the return is beneficial to them personally ie free social care, short waiting lists, universal dentistry etc

We need to ring fence NI to pay exclusively for the NHS and social care. We then see what we get for our money. Even if NI goes up significantly over time, it wii be seen as a premium.

I hope so, of course, and I’ve always maintained that the Tories would be the first to blink over Brexit. IMHO they need to go through at least 2 more leaders to get enough distance from Johnson not to look stupid doing so. I’d advise Labour to steal their picnic in the mean time.

There are 27 countries doing just fine with free movement within Schengen, and don’t forget we were never in Schengen, so we had control of our borders as EU members, but it still wasn’t good enough for her party.
