It's long overdue, but I finally started working on a new version of Media Kraken that supports TV Shows, ratings, and many other features that people have been asking for :D. What features would you like to see?

I posted this on Reddit, and I'm getting exactly the type of reaction I expected xD. It's a shame that none of the people who like Laravel/Rails are showing up, though 🤷. But it's nice to have haters. Much better than indifference :).

I have tried to use a couple of ATProto apps already, but I'm always taken aback by this screen :/. I don't think I'll use one until this is solved or I REALLY want to use some app. Why does this app need to read and write everything in my account? Can't I just give it read access?

ATProto authorization screen asking me to basically give this app permission to do everything in my account.

I recently got into React again... and this is how it's going so far 😅.

It's the first time I'm trying to use another ATProto app (other than Bluesky), and this looks a bit scary 😅. Why does this app need so many permissions? Couldn't they be limited to the lexicon the app uses or something?

If you're a fan of the Spooky Season, make sure to check out Media Kraken this month! You'll find my Halloween movie recommendations, and a couple more surprises! What are your favorite Halloween movies?

Media Kraken is wearing a costume for Halloween! It looks like a pumpkin-kraken.

Hey, in case you missed it, tomorrow I'll be giving a talk about Interoperable Serendipity at Solid World. I think this is the secret ingredient that could unleash Solid's real potential. Join us tomorrow to learn more!

Is this related to that? 😅 Thanks to the web archive, I could see that it was just a redirect to a notion site before. And the notion url still works. But otherwise, I can't access the live domain right now :/.

I can already imagine all the developers, like me, worried after seeing this sign that they'll reject our 100ml containers 😂 #fosdem

Back to my Happy Place! I'm looking forward to doing a lot more of this in 2025 (design + code) 😁. And Happy New Year! I hope you can also spend time doing what you enjoy! What is your Happy Place?

By the way, I just added the ability to import movies from your Netflix viewing activity. If you hadn't, maybe this is your excuse to start using Media Kraken!

Like every year, I just dressed my apps for the Christmas season :D. It's quite silly, but I always enjoy doing these things. It also gives me a chance to work on some issues, and look at each app at least once a year.

Recently, I've been learning to make animations on the web. And I'm starting to understand why Framer Motion is one of the reasons for people to choose React over #Vue. But I still want to use Vue! So I started working on a library that supports layout animations, like this one:
