🧵 I had a great time at #MigFest25 as always, it’s 👍🏼 to see so many people who also ❤️ birds/migration. But really upsetting that people have to get ridiculously close to get a shot/view of a migrating bird, likely exhausted. Please respect wildlife. Red-necked phal - water’s edge, <2m from people.

This does not address the key issue, the large parts of the CGNP are burnt for grouse shooting. This dries them out and makes them more flammable. First day of the season checking nest boxes, what a beautiful day. Most nests were at a stage N1 - NL, tits and a nuthatch. Waiting impatiently for the arrival of pied flycatchers and redstarts! #NestRecordScheme
