I see that iOS field test got a makeover once again. App name no longer mentions “internal” either. Still using the same funny-looking stretched-out app icon (which doesn’t really matter considering the nature of the unlisted app).

SCOOP: So remember Dialog, Peter Thiel's private society that doesn't have a public website and no public list of members? I (along with a number of other journalists) have just been tipped off that embedded in the code of their closed off website there IS what seems to be a list of some members.

Of note: as of macOS 27.0 Dev Beta 1, the selected alert options don’t get removed from the dropdown. Likely something to be addressed.

iOS 27.0 Dev Beta 1 Calendar app allows adding more than two alerts, just like it’s been in the macOS Calendar. Limited by the number of options in the alert dropdown. (Before, you could have more than two, but you needed to do this in macOS’s Calendar.)

Got hold of this a few days ago. Did some play tests and adjusted settings (such as heavily lowering the Steam joystick dead zones). Solid controller.

when someone says "encrypted" in the context of user authentication credentials, I'd sure as hope they're talking about hashing and salting (hint: if a password can be encrypted, it can be decrypted. passwords should *not* be reversible. there is never a good reason for that.)

You cannot save this document with extension ".ass" at the end of the name. The required extension is ".ass".

You can choose to use both, so that your file name ends in ".ass.ass".

We heard your feedback and took it seriously: Kagi Search now loads best on Netscape Navigator
Kagi's April Fools' homepage redesigned as a 1990s web portal, with a bright orange/yellow color scheme, starry border, retro logo, a "Fetch!" search button, nostalgic suggested searches like "Dial-up or ISDN?", sections for blog posts, app downloads, and community links, sidebar ads for Orion Browser and Kagi merch, and a deliberately broken PHP visitor counter in the footer.

I had an amazing time at this year's @harmonycon.bsky.social where I even ran into her majesty Princess Luna @thatlunarprincess.bsky.social ! Trixie would appreciate if anyone else from the human world has more pics of me during the con! ^3^ 📸 @nodepoint.bsky.social /🧵 @furtasticstudios.bsky.social

To those whom I got to meet this year and in the past couple of years: thank you. It has been great spending time with y’all, and I’d love to continue doing so. Here’s to more years of meeting up and hanging out.

Node @nodepoint.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
There is *easily* so much I could say about the past visits, especially the more recent one (which has been more different than the last two), but that won’t be necessary for the purposes of this write-up.

Node @nodepoint.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
As for the last couple of visits and at HarmonyCon, it has always been amazing. I know multiple people who have been attending the convention whom I haven’t gotten around to meeting yet, and I’d love to do so in the future when there is time and opportunity, if the interest goes both ways.
110
Node @nodepoint.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
It also became an opportunity to hang out more after having somewhat done so after the past two conventions, which also became another large highlight. There were also a couple of Meow Wolfs involved, the idea first raised in SF and later suggested when it came to Houston.

Node @nodepoint.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
With some moving around and attempts to find a good time to meet up at the hotel HarmonyCon would be operating at, it was achieved.

Node @nodepoint.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
There was a bit of a side quest coming from SF. The friend who hosted me in SF is also friends with a friend of mine, who happened to be heading to Dallas as well-a lanyard to be reunited with its owner.

Node @nodepoint.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
When it came to the second half of the visit, another best friend of mine was able to host me a little further out from Dallas. A friend of a friend at the time had also newly joined in, which involved a trip down to Houston, where we hung out before heading back up with them.
110
Node @nodepoint.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
For that, I’m very grateful. Despite this section being shorter than the rest, it has been one of the major highlights of the visit (a lot has happened).
110
Node @nodepoint.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
They, as well as the roommates and those staying at the time, have been very accommodating. If this hadn’t been offered, I’m not sure when I might have gotten around to visiting, much as I’d love to.

Node @nodepoint.bsky.social · 18/02/2026
A good friend offered to host me in San Francisco. This was an incredible opportunity to hang out with them and explore parts of the city and beyond that I had never thought of visiting.
