Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 14hEarly Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave Theodora Part 1 spoilers. They were cooking when they decided to make this a POV shot. 0162
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 29/09/2026In Xenoblade 2, there is only one time you win a fight and lose in a cutscene, at the start of chapter 3. It still turns out favorably. The only unwinnable battle is at the end of chapter 6. Every other post-battle cutscene has Rex either gain the upper hand or be confronted with a separate battle. 100
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Decided to do Cai's story third, and uh... I love the story and characters, but the progression feels like a tutorial, The mentor side-quests especially, even six chapters in. After playing two other routes, his path feels much more constrained. I have so much time and cannot even explore. 000

Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 21/09/2026I like that Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave lets you recruit the kind of unkempt and dishevelled psychopaths that would normally be fodder for you to cut down in the early parts of Fire Emblem games. Usually, you can only recruit conventionally attractive and well-groomed psychopaths. 010
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 18/09/2026To answer the question, yes. I have played through and beaten them all, including the remasters, remakes, and most of the spin-offs. Beat all the mainline games again this year. 000
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Look, I know the stakes are high. I know that there is an impending apocalypse that only I can prevent. But DO NOT interrupt me during bird time. 040

Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I think about this every time people complain about the "hand-holdy" yellow paint in modern games that tells players which way to go. 000
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 11/09/2026This specific render of Wario can be so triggering for some Xenoblade fans, myself included. 0112
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I love Muramasa. It was one of the prettiest games on the Wii. I was gifted the game when it first released, and it got me into Vanillaware titles. It is a shame that it releases so close to other games that I am looking for to, but I am just going to have to save up. 000
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 10/09/2026If Shimmer really does have a Double Spinning Edge Art, and if it can be instantly recharged with a critical hit, she will make my dreams a reality. 080
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I believe that Shimmer is going to provide exactly what I wanted from the Hero in the new Xenoblade 3 content. She seems like the most obvious choice, given that fans knew she existed but was conspicuously absent until now. Maybe she will drop some massive lore bombs, too. 050
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Upon a first impression, I was comparing the style to Laika films, which use stop-motion and puppets. The highly detailed fabric on stylized characters within lush environments led to that line of thinking. It is good to see that I was probably onto something. 000
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Thanks to my friend @astelianstudio.bsky.social for making this GIF for me. 0207
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 10/09/2026This is not an empty threat. I have my finger on the button. She will be unleashed. 214643
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I cannot see Shimmer's term marker in the Xenoblade 3 trailer footage or her artwork. Has anyone been able to spot it? What if she is not a part of the system? 010
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Rex of Xenoblade 2 was probably the most girl dad who ever girl dadded. 060

Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 08/09/2026I think one of the reasons Link in the Ocarina of Time remake looks so glossy is because of the light emanating from Navi. The highlights on his face and clothing are pretty strong when she floats close to him. 010
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Yeah, people have been complaining about Zelda art direction for every new game for far longer than many of you have been around. This is just how it was going to be no matter how it looked. Here is too another forty years of this discourse.static.klipy.comXenoblade3 Xenoblade Chronicles3ALT: Xenoblade3 Xenoblade Chronicles3 051
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 07/09/2026I talk about Xenoblade Chronicles way more, but The Legend of Zelda is my favorite video game series. When I did game journalism, it was primarily what I covered, which I got scouted for because I was writing a ton of Wiki pages about it. So, I am beyond excited about the Zelda Direct tomorrow. 140
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Not sure why Xenoblade 2 calls onigiri "dumplings", but it is a good thing that Xenoblade 3 dropped the whole "jelly-filled donut" bit for the onigiri. Otherwise, Segiri would have ended up being called "Seling" or "Sedump" or something like that. 260
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 06/09/2026In regards to the whole discussion about iconic video game swords, my only take is why are we limiting it to four? There are so many more iconic game swords. The more, the better. It just bothered me that much of the discussion is, "This one has to go because I like this one better." No fun. 010
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Trying not to get my expectations too high for the upcoming Zelda and Nintendo Directs. I think that they will be great, but I know that it is better not to let my imagination run wild. 000
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Another one for the subgenre of "father figure carries daughter figure on shoulders" games. 020
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 03/09/2026I really do appreciate that the Kirby series is basically "Baby's First Cosmic Horror". Thinking about the time I was watching my niece play Forgotten Lands. She got to the Fecto Forgo animal amalgam flesh wall, and she just dropped her controller and said, "I don't want to play anymore." Beautiful. 010
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 02/09/2026When Terranigma releases on modern consoles, I am going to make it my mission to get every Xenoblade fan that I know to play it. 130
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition with the Ver 3.0.1 update. Is it just me, or is the music in the Blade Awakening cutscenes entirely gone? 010
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 27/08/2026I am watching my younger brother play Donkey Kong 64, and he is very color blind. He has been asking me what colors the bananas and such are. I always thought that the way they did collectibles in this game was a clever way to leave bread crumbs to guide you with the correct character. Nevermind. 130
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 26/08/2026About 99 days until the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition release. Pretty neat... 010
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 24/08/2026I sincerely believe that Terranigma and other Quintet games have shaped my tastes in games. The aspects that I find appealing in themes and narratives in series like Xenoblade and Persona are all here and there. The music is also one of the best soundtracks on the system. I will be there on day one. 020
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Terranigma is an ARPG with story about restoring life to the world. It has a heavy emphasis on its themes; mainly duality. It is the most cinematic experiences that you can get from a SNES game, with choices that shape entire cities. It also controls more tightly than most top-down games of its day. 020
Noble Wrot @noblewrot.bsky.social · 20/08/2026It can feel a little lonely getting hyped about something that almost no one else I know even cares about. I do not expect them to muster even a little fake enthusiasm, though. 030
