I never played Supercars, Ridge Racer for me was the first Racing game I actually spent ages playing. It was such a good game. I love simple racing games like arcade ones I don't understand a need for a story?

Ridge Racer wasn't story driven that I remember, but it has been a few years but I loved the whole being able to improve a car and slowly get better with an awesome sound track.
