It occurs to me now, almost 40 years later, that the copy of HPLs “The Outsider and Others” I kept continuously checked out from my high school’s library was probably a very valuable first edition. I am pretty sure I stumbled upon a niche podcast (modular synthesizers) this morning that seemed entirely generated and narrated by AI. It had almost the same production values and voices as Uncanny Valley NPR hosts. It was so eerily narrated that I got uncomfortable and turned it off.

I hate to admit that I am now wholly invested in Dungeon Crawler Carl. Probably not for the writing, which isn’t great, IMHO. More for Jeff Hay’s voice acting in the audiobooks which is pretty fun. I might buy the next physical book (6th?) rather than listen to it on audiobook
