FYI: Dems in the senate can't defund ICE. ICE is funded by the Big Ugly Bill. Shutting down DHS on this vote wouldn't touch ICE, but it would shut down FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, etc. Shutting down ICE requires taking back Congress in the midterms. Dismantling DHS requires the White House in 2028.

My phone was working fine plugged in early morning. Screen is fine. Unplugged it and can't see anything. Screen is pitch black. Still connected to my watch. On external charger, charger shows it's working, but phone is black. Watch connects fine. Could use maps & podcasts in car. Advice? Galaxy s22

I prayed in this synagogue. I visited in 2021 for Shabbat services on a road trip. Kind & welcoming people. I would be devastated even if I hadn't visited. I thank God that no one was in the building at the time. Also prayed in Temple Beth Israel in Austin TX, which was also a victim of arson.

Do I send this reply, or will it fall on deaf ears? "They have markers in their desks for mini-whiteboard activities and I use markers on the whiteboard. Many students have them in their backpacks for other classes. By 7th grade, I believe the problem is with the student and not the materials."

Emailed my assistant principal last night about one of the 7th graders tagging a classroom wall with "6 7" and this is her response: "I am going to call him down first thing. Can we please move the markers away from all the students, so we dont have this issue again?" Way to make it MY fault. #OY

Whether they're blaming vaccines and Tylenol, or selling dubious "remedies," what they're really doing is promoting the perception that families (and especially mothers) can prevent and treat Autism. And thus also the perception that people with Autism and their families don't need social support.
