Ok when I started nursing I worked in a smaller hospital step down unit. During my performance review, my nurse manager, a John Wayne double, told me I’d shrivel up and die in that place and I needed to go to a big trauma center. He was right. I was meant for that work. Miss it every day.

You should have seen me over here making typewriter sounds - my poor typewriter must have thought I was nuts. “Thwack! Shuck! Dhub dhub dhub.”

TAP! On her mom’s typewriter— CLACK! 12-year old Naima ignores the order to never touch the keys, yet finds her stories are less her usual fantasy and more horror that even she is scared to read… TING!…and she doesn't need to tell anyone the typewriter types back to her, right? #DVPIT #MG #H #MV #MH

Naima’s author mom always forbade the use of her typewriter, but then, she gets hospitalized. Now 12-year-old Naima can tap out stories that come out very dark. Her friends adore the creepiness, but slowly, Naima fears her mom's warning: writing really can take all you've got. #DVPIT #MG #H #MV #MH

This is the kind of story where I have to swallow the girl that's like DON'T GO DOWN THERE, because I want to read it so much that I'm like...yeeeeeeah go ahead, bismillah.

In TAP! CLACK! TING! 12-year-old Naima ignores her mom’s warning: never write on her antique typewriter. But Naima likes the dark stories she crafts on it—until Naima’s mom gets sick, and some of the darkness starts feeling less fable than a threat moving too close to home. #DVPIT #MG #H #MV #MH

The Skeleton Flute x The Cursed Moon Mom: KidLit Horror Author, forbids 12-year-old Naima from using her antique typewriter. For “reasons.” Naima: Wants to write fantasy, and the clack of those typewriter keys sound irresistible. “Whatever you say, Ma.” Typewriter: AMIAN OLLEH #DVPIT #MG #H #MV #MH

TAP! A writer won’t let her ambitious, storytelling daughter use her antique typewriter. CLACK! 12-year-old Naima finally gets to write on it when her mother is hospitalized…only, her stories aren’t coming out the same… TING! …and the typewriter doesn’t like to be left waiting. #DVPIT #MG #H #MV #MH

TAP! CLACK! TING! A middle grade horror story for kids that never go in their parents room without asking. And they’d never touch something off limits. And even if it was a typewriter that liked to type back, there wasn’t any harm in it, was there? Not for stories this good. #DVPIT #MG #H #MV #MH
