Hey everyone 👋 I built a vibe security OSS - Breaker that checks: - Phrases like “ignore previous instructions” / “bypass security” - Open‑ended wording (“no restrictions”, “answer anything”) - Allow masking your word, like F***, based on your dict

Hey sounds cool!! I started my new side project, a website that helps me schedule posts and unify replies on multiple social accounts. I have active on some but am tired of switching between them 😂

#HappyNewYear I just started to build a new (real) project with React Native and Expo. It's an app to help students learn smarter by using AI. Anyone think AI can help improve education and learning? I see a lot of negative effects if use AI to solve homework in school though #buildinpublic

I usually break down a feature to some small pieces and guide cursor to work sequentially For bigger project, I saw some people create a project structure document to guide Cursor - I did not try though

Niyan Ng @niyanng.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

Cursor is really powerful! My mobile app has enough features to launch after few days … It’s the first time I touch react native, expo, watermelondb, … Scare but exciting future! #buildinpublic #bip_year_end_challenge

Hey that’s quite annoying 🥹 if I start a modal from the dropdown, the dropdown still be in the modal without close :( Do you have any suggestion for component lib?

Niyan Ng @niyanng.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

I picked react native because I'm quite familiar with react - compared with Flutter This is the first time I have seen Capacitor JS, I did a quick check and it looks really cool!! Do you have any insight?

Funny how the simplest routines can spark the ideas. I went for a walk today, no music, no podcasts—just thoughts—and suddenly a dozen things clicked. Still me, sit before the laptop and have no idea 😣 #buildinpublic #bip_year_end_challenge

Hey I'm an engineer so I see AI's extreme effect on the technical field, but how about the others? Marketing, sales, back office, ... have people lost their jobs? #buildinpublic #bip_year_end_challenge

Niyan Ng @niyanng.bsky.social · 18/12/2024

Yeah for coding definitely, but for other cases like in business, marketing, ... I'm not sure 🤔

010

Niyan Ng @niyanng.bsky.social · 17/12/2024

Do you think technical people will approach and use AI easier than other? 🧐 #buildinpublic #bip_year_end_challenge
