I think one underdiscussed reason that people are gravitating towards these games is because they ask so little of your life *going forward*, too. Most of them don’t have XP, or battle passes. For almost any larger multiplayer effort that’s coming out these days, who could claim the same?

Getting "Mario Karted" sucks and is far more common in World, but the mistake I keep seeing people make is when they get hit by that first red or blue shell in a top position, they keep trying to hold the optimal driving lines with no items or speed like bro the fog is coming, MOVE.

I went to the other plazas to see them in 60f then looked away, it's so much faster than I was ready for lol this is not edited btw

I used to delete the post I'd make when going live once the stream has ended. Not sure if I should keep doing it; I don't know how often people actually want/care to see them. It might be annoying to some but I also don't make many posts on here otherwise...

Mario Kart World has so much music holy shit

I was just about to complain after I realized that Nintendo added both Virtual Game Cards AND GameShare that, while great for local users, fails to consider long-distance family/friendships. But apparently, GameShare will have *some* online functionality, so that's cool I guess...

Mario Kart World looks great, but they widened the track in many places (especially in-between courses) to fit 24 players; this makes it look like there are way less sharp corners and tight driving sections. If 200cc doesn't return, I'm worried this game will feel slow/stale after a few months.

Hey guys! I’m planning to start releasing comic pages weekly in 2025! I’m working on building a buffer before I can make it happen, but currently I can only do this in my spare time. With support I may be able to make it happen faster! Visit my Kofi page to see how you can help: ➡️ ko-fi.com/keysatri

Reverting edits seems to bring it back. Guess I'll just have to put a chapter over the "starting soon" part.

Nitro Rocket @nitrorocket.bsky.social · 24/02/2025

Apparently, using the built-in YouTube editor on live streams (which I used to remove the 5~ minutes of "starting soon" screen) completely removes the Live Chat Replay and doesn't let you turn it back on. :/

Finally have my room set up for streaming. Going to start streaming on Tuesdays and Fridays/Saturdays (depending on when I work) at the same time as Niko (9PM CST) on YT. Might change things up for Saturdays eventually, but I want to try doing this on a semi-consistent schedule for a while.

Street Fighter 6 has by far the best training mode in any fighting game I've played. There are so many features I wish could be ripped out and put into every other fighting game.

I wish more of the FGC was on Bluesky. I still feel obligated to check twitter because there's still a lot of content and conversation that ONLY happen over there.

I really like that Capcom seems to be trying to break the homogenization of Super Meter usage away from just saving level 3 for Final round.

I never new much about Virtua Fighter games before, but learning that they only have 2 attack buttons is kinda baffling.

I want to try streaming consistently for a while sometime this year (hopefully next week). Planning for Tuesdays and Fridays (if I don't work) at 9pm CST.

My Secret Santa gift to @nitrorocket.bsky.social 🎁 Thank you to @komaprince.bsky.social for hosting this event, I had so much fun drawing this!!✨ #splatoon #splatoonart #splatoonoc #art #oc #komasecretsanta

An illustration of an Inkling swinging a Splatana Stamper. They're legs are positioned apart as one arm is held forward, and the wielded hand is posed back. The Inkling is pale, with blue eyes and and blue/green tentacles in a Hipster hairstyle. They have a black v-neck shirt with an unzipped, camo hoodie over it, grey gloves, baggy black pants, blue and brown boots with tan soles, and a dark blue, camo hat with Inkling lettering on the front.
The background is a green-blue gradient with the name Nitro written on the right, vertically in Inkling letters.
