I genuinely don't understand how, in this day and age, people are still conflating babyfurs with pedophilia. The A in ABDL stands for Adult. You don't have to be comfortable with everything everyone else is doing, but it really doesn't make sense to me that this is still a topic of discussion in this, the year of our lord 2026. Obviously, people care about airing their opinions, but the problem is when it's just airing opinions of no particular urgency to post here and now, that amount to preaching for or against something without shedding any new light. There's no specific reason given, or sources for what caused the post (who was saying what, where, and why do they matter?) No sources of solid info to back a response, or accommodation for critical info. That amounts to ranting against criticism. The Rants and Common Posts rules also cover this.

Then it goes around and around when critical opinions react.

For an official position, this can be considered a murky grey-area topic. Harmless consenting adult role-play can include things that others find distasteful. There are people with medical incontinence issues who find diaper content to be empowering, and they should be left alone. Personal taste is freedom. So is personal distaste and critical opinions.

Critically, babyfur isn't one specific SFW thing. It associates with a spectrum that includes NSFW cub content. This can be observed in the preponderance of who is generating and consuming it. It may be technically legal depending on place, but that's far from the last word on it. Defenses about self-policing around it amount to "trust me bro", while minimizing, hairsplitting, and denying parts for convenience isn't productive discussion. That's one-sided propaganda.
