Also on October 30, the beautiful and award-winning Bannfoot Ferry will show at Maghery Community Hall at 6pm. Colm Laverty has pieced together UTV's first nationally-broadcast play and how wonderful to show it in the place that story came from. This is a new longer version of the film.

We have a number of lovely events coming up. There are two screenings of 'Treasuring South Armagh: Úna Walsh': Portaferry Recreation Hub on Oct 23rd and An Coire in Maghera on Nov 13th. This community-made film is a masterclass in heritage.

Moving image is such a great way to engage with history. Our Education Officer has created amazing resources that connect to Key Stages and the curriculum. digitalfilmarchive.net/teachers

We are delighted that filmmaker Colm Laverty has won a FOCAL award for the wonderful 'Craigavon, New City". Colm's passion for archive shows in his meticulous storytelling. And the story of Craigavon - so long a byword for the failure of a new Northern Ireland - is remarkable.

And today, John Carey's incredible grave remains as it was. The pump is still there too and working despite some damage.

#Archive30 #ArchiveOutreach We love our outreach! Taking the films on the road is so important. Audiences enrich our storytelling and add depth to our work. Last year, we did 210 events and reached 19k people!

#Archive30 #CommunityArchives We recognise that archives don't always reflect changes in society. Our Northern Ireland Now contemporary collection is design to redress imbalance and underrepresentation of many communities here by sharing ownership of our space. See alt text for Yalla's work.

#Archive30 #CataloguingCollections Our collections are catalogued depending on the project and the funders and all with passion and knowledge. We have great researchers on our team, including Evan here (in his happy place at a Steenbeck machine).
