iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I wasn't quite this good but this is the type of shit I was up to as a wee lad back in 2010; GarageBand is surprisingly robust!

Every time I want to feel despair about my guitar abilities I listen to Shattering the Spell 😅

Nirensimt @nirensimt.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

I think it's so funny how The Black Dahlia Murder just became the place Arsis guitarists go to unwind and play something "easy" for a change

230

Nirensimt @nirensimt.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

And then Arsis did a *good* cover of Sunglass at Night. Sometimes the world is a topsy turvy place

And of course **I** read it as Worf's dad Mogh 😅

I have the CD and the fact that it unfolds into a house is maybe the coolest thing ever Such a warm and yet melancholic album, I love it dearly

It's doing so much numbers that even Jerry made a joke about it 👀

Ahh the eternal "avant-garde" tag 😂

Nirensimt @nirensimt.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Lol I think the "issue" there was making it one 3 minute song - everyone knows that's a whole grind album 😂 but it's got the grind ethos for sure, you can hear it in the aggression of everything

140

Nirensimt @nirensimt.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I'll never afford real studio time at this rate so I'll never know if that's something a producer does or not. So far the ones I hire I just say "make me sound better and use as much reverb as you can" lmao

120

Nirensimt @nirensimt.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Chat am I actually melo-black or post black or post-post black metal?? It's actually driving me a little nuts that I don't know how to (simply) promote my music that has riffs, ambient breaks, melodic singing, horrific screams, and is just generally dare I say beautiful??

Yeah he's been busy but as far as I know still good, been working on my bass parts 👀

Nirensimt @nirensimt.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

I have posted some teaser snippets of new songs from my drive but the official stuff, if the rest of recording and producing goes to plan, should be coming sometime in December 🤞🏼

Nirensimt @nirensimt.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

🤭 you and @peregrinator.net got so close, the guessing game was silly because the title itself is so...broad? It's an odd format anyway

Always, love hearing what people think of my tunes! Once it's actually done and ready I'll send you a copy 💕✨ posting this probably too early because I can't help it, I'm just too excited 😅

Thank you, I had it mostly worked up at the same time I did most of the demos that will appear on this album - back in 2022 - and refined it a bit more this year, really happy with how it turned out.

Really speaks to his business sense and overall genius that he thought "you know, what if I redux my biggest hits in a modern style with features from some of today's biggest pop artists, to ensure I never run out of money?"

The things you could do with force powers absolutely blew me away. I couldn't afford the game for months after release but I played the teaser demo level maybe 50 times I was THAT enamored by it. Not even the Cal Kestis games give me that feeling (though I love them)
