I think I would respect Universes Beyond a lot more if they made some really left-field choices and committed hard. Like. Give us Le Petit Prince or Arrested Development or the Wes Anderson Cinematic Universe instead of the same slop we already see in every other fucking form of media

Hard to believe that it's been almost a month since we got married! I love how the photos came out. It was a dream turned reality and we were so fortunate that our friends and family came from afar to celebrate with us 🤍

Our private vows by the ocean, Alex is embracing me and I'm in my wedding dress and veil.

Walking out after the ceremony, Alex and I are hand in hand and laughing. The ceremony is outside and decorated with white trees and purple and blue flowers. In the backdrop is a forest and it's sunny.

Alex and I dancing on the rocks by the shore at sunset. He's twirling me around

Guests from the Magic community at the ceremony - Bo Su, Mani, Jadine, Carmen, Greg, Misha, Aaron, and others

Your definition of the rule stated that it “JUST means we can’t play with two Berts”. The only reasonable interpretation of this statement is that the rule is intended only to restrict the entry of exactly two (2) Berts into your games. omg Shivam it's SO GOOD!! combines the CCG vibes with poetry, literature, and history, and has some great character work as well. I cannot recommend it enough

It’s amazing Drew was able to capture that. Most of Sunday afternoon I was just wandering around in a daze, overflowing with happiness that everyone I saw was sat down, playing games and having a great time. It really felt like the hard work had been worth it

I had this Japanese poem (#77 from the Hundred Poets) in my mind when I wrote the message. The image of swift waters parting and joining again was written about lovers, but I feel it equally applies to old friends, and even old hobbies. It’s alright to have time apart and meet again down-stream. 💙

Hyakunin Isshu: poem 77 (Retired Emperor Sutoku・se wo hayami)

Swift waters parted by the jagged rocks are joined at river’s end.

Pretty magical to be a part of this project. Drew found me on Sunday at my most exhausted, but I was honoured to be able to say the words that have been building in my heart.

Photo of me with my message
“Dear Magic,
I don’t really know how to feel about you. Sometimes I feel like we’ve grown apart a little, like old friends who part ways and go in different directions.
But every time I sit down and shuffle up, I feel that same excitement I felt the first time- of both not knowing what’s going to happen, and also the challenge of forging my own destiny. I do know for sure though, that the people I’ve met through you are the brightest, most vibrant, wildly funny, and sometimes unhinged people I’ve met, and that’s why I helped to make Shoebox, which is my gift to them.”
-With Love,
Haiyue
