I can't rank all the bad stuff in the second Trump administration, but one thing that has made me so mad is the rollback of funding for EV infrastructure, since I'd love to rely more on EVs for all transit (and not just the commuting stuff, for which the Bolt is just perfect)!

I have so many thoughts, as an economist, about the weird way that (many, and many prominent) economists like to push buttons and be sophomorically provocative in how they use language, and how people push back on it. I thought you handled all of this with so much grace and patience!

Abortion has faded nationally as a major midterms issue, but it's a top focus in the Maine Senate race, where Democrats are banking that Collins's Kavanaugh vote will cost her in a way it didn't back in 2020. I went deep for @vox.com. gift link: www.vox.com/policy/50331...

Republicans, in their infinite wisdom, left a big gambling loophole in the Medicaid work requirements. I'm no fan of the gambling industry, but if you are on Medicaid and struggling to deal with the work requirements, taking a $580 bet on both sides of an outcome is one way of getting around them.
