I'm a pretty simple person, I see a treemap or hierarchical visualization and I am pleased.

A prop typed Item[] tells you what's inside the array, not whether you get a stable array next render. So I made referential stability a type. Inline array to a memoized child? Type error at the exact line. React + Preact, packaged as `stableref` 👇

I mean, why it's not called field.value instead of field.input?

Jonas Røssum @nimrossum.com · 26/06/2026
I'm a bit curious as to why not all the props to the fields are spread to the elements. Is there a specific reason for this? 🤔

Oh, good point. I think I do it like that because I once read that there is a limit of the amount of args you can give to Math.max, but in this case it would make the code much simpler!

Jonas Røssum @nimrossum.com · 04/06/2026
This! I just migrated from an unmaintained args parser to parseArgs and it does everything I wanted! I even used the config that I pass to parseArgs for generating --help! github.com/git-truck/gi...

This is a great bridge! I am excited about disposables being introduced in libraries API's, making cleanup cleaner and safer! Can't wait for it to come to the Atomics API's for mutex acquisitions. In the meantime, we implemented our own DisposableMutex here: github.com/git-truck/gi...

npmjs.com is critical JS infrastructure, not a side project. Wild that microslop shipped a half-assed, vibe-coded dark mode, with poor contrast, making README code blocks impossible to read. IMO this is a stewardship problem, not just a bad UI tweak. @npmx.dev could not have had better timing!
