Delighted that artist Tom Brown has agreed to do the cover for The Flying Dutchman Book 2 GRAVE HAVENS. We’ve agreed not to repeat Liselotte & Peter Haelen lounging about on the ship, the two divergent character progressions have been sufficiently depicted already. Instead, we have a cunning plan…

Alea iacta est. No longer writing a trilogy. Malign Shadows, originally intended as book 2, has been cut in half. Got a fitting title and all. Something is still missing though, scratching me head here, I need something else but for the life of me cannot figure out what. Can someone help me out?

I had hoped to get away with: They stopped at the Cape of Good Hope for fresh water and then pressed on. Now four chapters and counting! This tale might not fit into a Trilogy, time to look up the proper name for a Fourthology? (Photo Dietmar Temps)

One heck of a yarn, based on a contemporary Arthur Pendragon, relayed in that crisp, wry & often hilarious manner that C.J. Stone has mastered over the decades. I much recommend this deep-dive into British counterculture!! Get your copy now and you won't regret a single minute of reading time.

It’s weird that Helen of Troy being played by a black actress is a problem, but most of the rest of the Mediterranean, Greek and Turkish characters being played by incredibly fair and blond haired people of British, Irish and Scandinavian descent isn’t. And by weird, I mean entirely predictable.

Brighton folk may know the (Stone Age) Whitehawk Woman in Brighton Museum. Her name, btw, was Toksi. I know, because I wrote a story about her, woven around a poem by Jovannah Bar. 'The Sky Stones' has now been added to with an illustration by Eldad Druks (which I personally think is fantabulous)
On the left, a picture of the facial reconstruction of a Stone Age inhabitant of Brighton known as The Whitehawk Woman, on display in Brighton Museum. On the right, an illustration by Eldad Druks for my story 'The Sky Stones' about Toksi, for that was what The Whitehawk Woman was called (I reckon).

Every card in my Minoan Tarot deck was inspired by a Minoan artifact or work of art. In this case, a single work of art - the Bull Leaper fresco - inspired two Major Arcana cards. I made this deck the old-fashioned way, with ink on paper. www.minoantarot.com #Minoan #Tarot #TarotSky #Art
The Minoan Bull Leaper fresco from Knossos with two Minoan Tarot cards, each of which depicts a part of the fresco. The fresco shows a large tan-and-white spotted longhorn bull galloping toward the left while three athletes in loincloths and boots perform bull leaping. A white-skinned athlete on the left hangs on the bull's horns. A red-skinned athlete in the center balances upside down on the bull's back. A white-skinned athlete on the right stands facing the bull with arms out, as if they have just landed from a leap. The Minoan Tarot card on the left, 8 Strength, shows the athlete hanging from the bull's horns. The card on the right, 14 Balance, shows the athlete balancing on the bull's back. Both the fresco and the cards have a detailed multicolor border all the way around.

A paperback copy of Pantheon: The Minoans by Laura Perry stands in front of the Dolphin fresco from Knossos. The fresco also features on the book cover. To the left of the boom is text that reads, "Journey through the Labyrinth to meet the Minoan deities of ancient Crete, who are still very much alive in the modern world." Spare a thought for Labour voters. It seems 75% of them want to rejoin the EU but they prolly haven't realised that'll mean less freedom to support Israel militarily. So, restoring some form of stability to the UK? Or enabling the mass murder of children? Gonna be a tough decision for them no doubt.
