Coming home from a week away at a conference (#WCUS) and apparently I’ve decided “taking art time with the kiddo way too seriously” is the way to re-ground myself 😅
A kids coloring page pictures Mario coming out of a pipe. The page has been watercolored to an unreasonable level of detail.

Reminded me of this sign I spotted at @pdxhackerspace.org during Teardown this year. I didn’t realize it at the time but it’s like a Live Laugh Love for the rest of us.
A wooden sign with text (possibly engraved?) quoting: “Pete Hegseth: We are currently clean on OPSEC.”

God this is truly one of the most annoying things about the whole "AI benchmarks" discussion too, like tests designed for humans are not tests designed for technology and don't mean equivalent things

Or, more likely, some combination where the blocks themselves are client rendered with an extensibility layer in PHP like the Additional Fields API

Nik McLaughlin @nikmclaughlin.bsky.social · 21/06/2025
Yeah, they've pivoted away from that for newer projects where client logic is handled through iAPI, and it makes me wonder if this current version of cart/checkout blocks will stick around or if a more PHP/iAPI-focused version is actually the way forward 🤔

That all still holds true today and I'm glad that @developer.woocommerce.com is hosting spaces to hear from extension devs on this exact topic. Like we said in the discussion - extensibility IS the value prop for WooCommerce, and can be its key differentiator for the next era if it's prioritized.

When I wrote about this back in Feb, my takeaways for Woo were to "[define] clearer timelines and [communicate] expectations for future updates." And for extension developers: "participation in the community discussions that shape these platform decisions will be key." arc.net/l/quote/viob...
