They are not really offset. The whole prompt is center but I assume you mean that the square with E inside alone should be centered and text appear next to it, making the whole (square+text) offset to the right.

No BF map has ever been accurate. Always built for gameplay in a realistic and plausible environment. So they are not wrong, but would the map be better if it was accurate? At least it was never something I aimed for back when I made maps in BF3 and before. What felt like fun was my north star.

Saw this one in an outdoor exhibition showing amazing Google Earth / satellite photos. I must say Valparaiso looks a bit more developed than in Bad Company 2. 😳 Or were we just north above the satellite image? Yeah, that have been it. Funny that the beach for Discarded in 2042 was also on display.

Funny, the level designer that made the initial layout proposal for the "Haven" in BF2042 (map that is narratively located in the Atacama Desert) was also responsible for the map "Atacama Desert" in BF:BC2.
