Sadly a lotta houses around here had this happen. I grew up with hurricanes, on the coast of Virginia. We experienced stronger winds than what I experienced here w/ this one, but didn't have as many trees fall as they did here. Apparently it's the soil here. Less rocks, more clay

Another house, just 2 1/2 blocks from me

This is just in a 2 block area of my neighborhood/home. It's a couple days later, & much has already been cleaned up, but dang...what a mess. #Hurricane #Isaias

It is. We were without power from Friday evening until this morning. Some of my neighbors lost their homes, but we were mercifully spared. Let a cleanup to do outside but we're OK (me, the cats & my best friend).

We finally got power restored, from #Hurricane #Isaias! The house, cats & myself = OK Some of my neighbors were not as fortunate, & lost their homes 💔. I'm so grateful we were spared. How we passed the time below. Will post more pics/vids later, now that I can charge my phone again.

Me too!! Thank you for the positive energy/prayers. It's very much welcome and wholeheartedly appreciated. Thank you 🙏🫶

Thanks Cindy. We actually have about 80 gallons of clean drinkable water stored, and another 20 in containers (just for flushing the toilets and stuff like that). We are borderline preppers, so we're decently prepared for stuff like this, as much as one can be.

You are over estimating my self discipline. Hee heeeee

Well...now it's a party. 😳 The EMS siren started going off on my phone, & that's on my screen. It's headed directly for me. Secured everything outside (as best I could) brought the cat in, charging my phone, eating the snacks, doing all the things. Now we wait #hurricane #Isaías

Aw man! This is horrible. I've checked on my friends in Hawaii, luckily they are fine. This is concerning for the rest of the super El Niño season though.

Loving everything about this. Side-note: anyone else crushing on Jack Smith? ( I have, since the beginning). Nothing more attractive than intelligence, esp. when accompanied by strength & character).

U and me both! U have had a few in my personal life (animal related) but not in connection to the political shit scape, that we're all navigating

Very interesting. Nothing surprises me anymore

One can be against this, and still very much support Jewish people. I have nothing but love for all of my jewish friends, and strangers. I am however, not ok with this 💩

Wait, it did hit?! I thought it didn't hit Hawaii.

Hi Tibor 🙌🫶 and thank you. It's very strange. As you know, I don't come on social media very often, so when I do and it's not working… It's kind of a bummer

@support.bsky.team my feed hasn't been working for several days now (see pic). Can you please help? My roommate is not having this problem, so it's clearly not a geographical issue 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nichole (Nikki) @nikkinova.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Yeah. Mine has been doing it for several days.

010

Nichole (Nikki) @nikkinova.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

You're getting it too? OK that makes me feel better. At least it's not just my account. My best friend who lives with me, is not having the issue on his account so I am legit baffled at why I am 🤷🏻‍♀️. It's clearly not geographical.

Nichole (Nikki) @nikkinova.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Me too. Unfortunately it's still hot where I am

Nichole (Nikki) @nikkinova.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

@bsky.app this has been going on for days with my account. The feed is just simply not loading under the Discover tab. It has not been working for several days for me. Can you help?

The 1st day of #Fall (Sept 22, 2026) at my house. A little #Mabon & a lotta gratitude, for life's simple pleasures. Mine was/is in the #DeepSouth ; where Fall leaves, acorns, and watermelon go hand in hand. What did u do on the first day of Fall, where u live? #NikkiNova

Tools are not the issue. I have plenty of garden tools. It's quite literally simply being outside in this heat, this choking life-threatening heat

Gardening in the deep south IN AUGUST, is not for the weak. I've admittedly given up on weeding (for now). It's just too hot. I gotta start prepping all 3 gardens for the Fall but ugh... this heat is just not it. Hella happy about all my watermelon though. #garden #nikkinova #watermelon
