Feels so weird attending secondary school open evenings for the eldest. Feels like only a couple years back I'd have been participating as a student. Pretty sweet when @codewolf.bsky.social owned the sporty kid at badminton demo, kids face was priceless!

Although the land is suffering from a severe lack of rainfall to nourish everything, I think our garden is glad it's been able to breathe now we've cleared a fair bit from out of control and overgrown areas. In the process we've found huge tree stumps, old dog toys, a bone and a patio.

This house came with some fruit & nut trees/bushes so this year I attempted to make cherry plum jam. It was messy, and apron needed as top got stained. But damn, its tasty! And THICC. A previous owner used to make jams and various other things from the fruit, so it's cool to kinda continue that.

Love it when a nightmare screws with your mental health. Crochet and attempting to knit are my go-to when this happens usually but other health issues are currently making that difficult with the tingling in the fingers causing me trouble holding a hook or needles for long without discomfort 😞
