The Australian Party of labour no longer exists. What does 'coincidentally' exist is a lot of bank accounts holding the lovely money of the extinct ALP. The so-called Labor Party doesn't even dare sell itself on its evident 'principles', all advertising for the ALP is nostaglic slop.
The ALP doesn't exist. [in Red]

For 30+ yrs, the lie the ALP sold its base was there were Factions. But, for 20 yrs, Labor Right Über Alles. ['Labor Right' in Bold Italics, 'Über Alles' in Italics]
For 10+ yrs before, nothing but tie colour differentiated Labor Right from Centrist (Dry) Libs. But in the late 2010's, the US GOP, the UK Tories, & the Australian Libs moved en masse to the far-Right.

Labor Right - *the* ALP - remained carrying the policy banners of the Liberal Party.

People have been using Al to essentially rob Adobe of all its software and release free to use [open] source versions for anyone to use.
It's poetic that the company that pushed Al and ignored everyone's concerns about Al theft has now become victim to it.
If they call it theft and take legal action it would open the door for others to do the same to them.

My response to the general 'what the f*ck is Labor doing?' question: In short, there is no functional, philosophical Party of labour. The so-called ALP doesn't exist. What does exist, however, is a lot of extant bank accounts in the (old) Party's name. & what is sold is fetid, dripping nostalgia.

I don't think I've seen the purpose of AI captured so brutally and accurately.

Mum & Dad's backyard (that mulberry tree, centre, is nearly 90), on our collective way down to my Brother & SiL's place for lunch.Looking back from my Brother & SiL's kitchen, across their back deck & into their backyard - towards Mum & Dad's place... & above the red cushion, you can see the yellow-gold inflorescences of their Silky Oak (Grevillea robusta - not an oak) in full flower. The combative squawks of Rainbow Lorikeets were occasionally heard as we had our lunch and they 'attacked' theirs. Pretty birds, yes. Song birds, no.
The end of dessert after lunch, as Mum (this end) and Dad (that end) possibly reach for the same thing.

The Trump administration is excluding several major allies from a gathering of NATO members next month — after previous threats to deploy a “naughty and nice list” against governments that have run afoul of the president’s priorities.

The planned meeting in Poland, which Pentagon policy chief Elbridge Colby has spearheaded, is essentially a working group focused on NATO’s future, according to six diplomats familiar with the planning. But many of the countries who didn’t receive an invite — such as the United Kingdom [underlined in red], France and the Baltic countries — are big defense spenders and play key roles in the alliance, leaving their diplomats wondering why they’re being frozen out.

And with sincere apologies to both Milne & Shepard...
Graphic:
Winnie-the-Pooh is bent over, paws on knees, examining marks in the snow.
Piglet, also looking down but less fervently, has one of his hands (trotters?) raised to his mouth.

Text, Winnie:
"We are in the territory. Now to define the map: the sequence of poetic tropes that track the journey into and out of form, from mortality to immortality, the trail of the falcon, the serpent, the eye, and the star."

Text, Piglet:
"Gosh."
"Are you on a different honey today or something?"

... in a forest of lawyers. 😐
Graphic:
A photo of a very pleased US President Donald Trump sitting in the Oval Office, of the White House.

A quote from the Guardian, on a white rectangle, sits beneath Trumps head:
"Trump has amassed staggering wealth in 'most openly corrupt' presidency"
(Guardian, Thur 13 Aug 2026).

Text, across bottom portion of photo:
If a Constitution fails in a forest of lawyers, but no-one is charged...
... do the Emoluments Clauses silently die?

So, the Harvard Veritones sang Radiohead’s “Creep” to win the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella. & why shouldn't they sing? They are, after all, the children of absolute privilege - Wheee! - like watching actors who were schooled at Eton. The privilege to fail until they succeed.
The original observation is a paraphrase of Maya Angelou:
"No one is free until we are all free."

'is free' is struck out, replaced with
'can sing', &
'are all free' is struck out, replaced with
'can all sing'.

Thus, the line now effectively reads:
"No one can sing until we can all sing."

A line in a smaller font, within parentheses, has been added along the bottom right corner:
'(the tone-deaf ones - you're on percussion.)'

This photo opportunity for iZrael should never have happened. It's cowardice, & a deliberate abrogation of their own very painful history, by the players who voted (in the majority) to play. Utterly shameful. Only one player refused to play, goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu &, in doing so, left the squad.
