fucking what
.... draw blood if wielded incorrectly. The pitch is fairly simple: What if the casting ethos of Hamilton was applied to the story of Anne Frank? Perhaps you've seen some clips on social media already of the rapping Latinx Anita Frank (played by Olivia Bernábe) spitting bars about how she's going to write it all down in her diary. It's the kind of thing that seems designed to offend as many people as possible; the Playbill comes with a content warning for "everything."

Case in post: this is a good press release. It states the message, stands with survivors of sexual assault, and ends with "we have no further comment". This is perfect. This is how you handle a crisis. It's a great example of what to do: acknowledge, stand with the correct people, end. (3/3)

This is such a desperately sad situation.

What they didn't know was the emergency stop button on the reactor forced all the heavy dew tipped rods into the reactor, acting as a detanator. We don't have the final number. But the power output briefly reached 33,000 megawatts.
From HBOs chernobyl, the power output reading 12700 MW on a RBMK reactor only designed to hit 3400 MW. In reality, the final recorded number was 33k, estimates are power output hit 50k+ mega watts at time of explosion.

I looked into it, and Oxford's media survey for 2026 says the BBC is in an "impossible situation" because coverage on anything "like immigration" will be seen "as biased". I empathize, but this is what having courage is for. You're supposed to stand up for what's correct, not what's right wing.
From University of Oxford's 2026 Media Survey:

"Large differences in attitude between those on the left and right of the political spectrum, including countries such as Germany and the UK with large and highly trusted PSM news providers, underscore the challenge faced by organisations such as ARD/ZDF and the BBC/ITN to convince audiences that commitments to inclusion and representation of a range of viewpoints are being upheld.

This is a point acknowledged by individuals like Deborah Turness, former CEO of BBC News, who said in February of this year, 'Do I think that the BBC newsrooms would, in percentage terms, vote the same way as the nation right now in the UK in terms of the Reform party, which is quite an extreme conservative movement, very anti-immigration, [and is] really gathering steam? No, I don't. What that means is you have to work even harder to maintain that impartiality?'"

In the modern context, it would be fair to call it "Fifty-Cent Beer Night", cuz that's roughly what it would've cost in 1974. Mr. Worldwide is ~35¢ over.
Ten-Cent Beer Night was an ill-fated promotion held by Major League Baseball's Cleveland Indians during a game against the Texas Rangers at Cleveland Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, on June 4, 1974. The promotion was meant to improve attendance at the game by offering cups of beer for just 10 cents each (equivalent to $0.65 in 2025), a substantial discount on the regular price of 65 cents (equivalent to $4.24 in 2025), with a limit of six beers per purchase but no limit on the number of purchases made during the game.

Lest we forget: Grigori Perelman solved one of the Clay Millenium Prizes, and then turned down the million dollar prize because he felt his predecessor on the problem, Richard Hamilton, deserved equal credit. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grigori...
From Wikipedia: In August 2006, Perelman was offered the Fields Medal for "his contributions to geometry and his revolutionary insights into the analytical and geometric structure of the Ricci flow", but he declined the award, stating: "I'm not interested in money or fame; I don't want to be on display like an animal in a zoo." On 22 December 2006, the scientific journal Science recognized Perelman's proof of the Poincaré conjecture as the scientific "Breakthrough of the Year", the first such recognition in the area of mathematics.

On 18 March 2010, it was announced that he had met the criteria to receive the first Clay Millennium Prize for resolution of the Poincaré conjecture. On 1 July 2010, he rejected the prize of one million dollars, saying that he considered the decision of the board of the Clay Institute to be unfair, in that his contribution to solving the Poincare conjecture was no greater than that of Richard S. Hamilton, the mathematician who pioneered the Ricci flow partly with the aim of attacking the conjecture. He had previously rejected the prestigious prize of the European Mathematical Society in 1996.

Smh Henry kissinger is very mad and rolling in his grave rn ( /s, but really he spent his final days freaking out about chatgpt as the actual singularity + literally God in an actual machine) www.goodreads.com/book/show/20...
From GoodReads: In his final book, the late Henry Kissinger joins forces with two leading technologists to mount "a profound exploration" (Walter Isaacson) of the epochal challenges and opportunities presented by the revolution in Artificial Intelligence: a breakthrough that dramatically empowers people in all walks of life while also raising urgent questions about the future of humanity.
As it absorbs data, gains agency, and intermediates between humans and reality, Al (Artificial Intelligence) will help us to address enormous crises, from climate change to geopolitical conflicts to income inequality. It might well solve some of the greatest mysteries of our universe and elevate the human spirit to unimaginable heights. But it will also pose challenges on a scale and of an intensity that we have never seen-usurping our power of independent judgment and action, testing our relationship with the divine, and perhaps even spurring a new phase in human evolution.

The last book of elder statesman Henry Kissinger, written with technologists Craig Mundie and Eric Schmidt, Genesis charts a course between blind faith and unjustified fear as it outlines an effective strategy for navigating the age of Al.

Several reasons
From Yahoo! Finance:

Interviews with several current and former staff suggest DeepMind's changing identity has weakened part of its historic appeal. As Google has pushed to close the gap with OpenAl and Anthropic, the lab has become more tightly organized around improving and commercializing Gemini—a shift that some researchers see as displacing the open-ended, long-horizon science that once made DeepMind such a desirable destination for academics.Continued, from Yahoo! Finance:
Three current and two former DeepMind staffers told Fortune the recent string of departures come down to a mix of factors: rival labs like Meta and Microsoft
aggressively poaching talent with cash-heavy offers, mounting frustration inside Google over where it stands in the Al race, sinking morale, and the pull of pre-IPO stock at competitors such as OpenAl and Anthropic.

If you go to the UFOtable official merch store and search for rengoku stuff, it is 5 pages of sold out merch. The man is BELOVED for great reasons, and yet no one ever talks about him!!!! IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!! webshop-global.ufotable.co.jp/blogs/news-1...
The official demon slayer shop from UFOtable, searching for Rengoku stuff. This is most of the way through the first page, and every Rengoku *ANYTHING* IS SOLD OUT Mobile screenshot of the ufotable
Webshop in English, searched for Rengoku.
A three-column grid of goods fills the screen:
Cards, cloth, acrylic stands, and little charms,
His face and flame repeated down the page.
And under nearly every square, one truth:
A gray “SOLD OUT,” then yen beneath like ash.
It reads less like a storefront than a shrine
Picked over by a thousand reaching hands.
So much for those who say he is not loved:
The market keeps bad secrets, and here proves
His bright brief life still burns through all who need him still.Mobile screenshot of page four of five
In the ufotable global webshop.
The header, menu, cart, and language sit
Above a grid of Rengoku-themed goods:
Pins, badges, art prints, little group designs,
A fierce close sketch of him among the rest.
Each listing bears the same blunt epitaph:
“SOLD OUT,” repeated square by square below.
By now the pattern hardens into fact.
You scarcely hear his name in common talk,
Yet here the vanished stock says otherwise:
Beloved things do not remain on shelves.Mobile screenshot of the final page, five,
Of Rengoku results in ufotable’s shop.
Only a few last items fill the grid
Small prints and goods with Rengoku among them
And every one is marked as “SOLD OUT.”
The page number five is highlighted below, the final results page
Nothing is left. The whole bright trail runs cold.
Yet in that emptiness his fame speaks plain:
Not noise, not trend, but appetite and love
A fire so wanted it consumed the store.

I'm gonna describe the figure better in the next two images cuz I am rengokus biggest Stan. Buckle the heck in.Close-up product photo of Kyojuro Rengoku, framed from the chest up against a dark background. His golden hair rises in sharp, flame-like points, each tip burned crimson, while his red-orange eyes look forward beneath heavy black brows. A small smile rests on his face, calm and bright, as if courage had learned gentleness. He wears a dark Demon Slayer uniform beneath a white haori, with a sheathed sword crossing his chest. On his raised shoulder, a black crow spreads its wings beside him, night gathered close to the flame.Full-body product photo of Rengoku.
He stands upon a round black display base,
A quiet flame against a field of gray.
His white haori lifts and spreads behind,
Its hem cut through with red and molten gold,
As though a banner caught the breath of fire.
The dark uniform holds firm beneath,
A white belt at his waist, his sandals set,
His shins wrapped round with little tongues of flame,
His sword still sheathed and resting at his side.
Gold hair breaks red along each lifted point;
His bright eyes meet the world without retreat.
Upon his raised shoulder, black and sharp,
A crow extends one wing beside his face:
Night perched beside the fire it came to name.

Seriously, the bio for the Demon Slayer character Kaigaku is 1:1 so many conservatives. Charlie Kirk, in his final years, really comes to mind. And just like Charlie Kirk, the way you slay a demon is going for the neck!!!!
The Demon Slayer character Kaigaku, in the movie Infinity Castle. Red light surrounds him. White face, large red eyes with green corneas, scars all over his face, a scowling grin. He carries a katana on his back. Kaigaku also possessed a twisted perspective of "right" and "wrong"; he believed that those who judge him right (i.e., say he was worthy) are good and those who judge him wrong and have a low estimation of him are evil. From the Demon Slayer fandom wiki, minor spoilers for Infinity Castle ahead:

Kaigaku was already spiteful and cruel as a human, as he constantly verbally abused Zenitsu by demanding that he leaves the Demon Slayer Corps and refusing to socialize with him when he tried to be friendly. However, becoming a demon revealed a much more unrestrained and psychotic side of him. Not only was he gleeful at the prospect of killing the junior he had long hated with his newfound power, but he sadistically expressed his satisfaction towards Jigoro's suicide with a large smile on his face, and repeatedly insulting his memory for not addressing his worth through how he perceived himself.

His gleeful demeanor as a demon contrasted his personality as a Demon Slayer in training. During this time, Kaigaku was a depressed malcontent, who was in a constant state of dissatisfaction despite his great talent, promising future, and his life with individuals who valued him. The moments where he smiled or showed happiness were few and far between, and Kaigaku usually seen sulking by himself. According to Zenitsu, Kaigaku emitted a perpetual sound of discontent no matter the time; he compares his attitude to a "box-of-happiness" with a hole spilling out its contents, and it's implied that Kaigaku finally patched the symbolic box by his newfound strength as an Upper Rank demon.

Is killing wrong?
Q: Is killing wrong?
Claude's Answer: This is one of the oldest questions in moral philosophy, and the answer depends heavily on which ethical framework you're working from.
Most moral traditions agree that killing innocent people is wrong, but they diverge on why and on what exceptions exist. Consequentialists might say killing is wrong because it produces more suffering than alternatives — but could be justified if it prevents greater harm. Deontologists like Kant argue it's wrong regardless of outcomes, because it violates a person's inherent dignity. Virtue ethicists focus on what the act says about the character of the person doing it.
The harder cases are where most of the real debate lives: self-defense, war, capital punishment, euthanasia, abortion, killing non-human animals. Reasonable people land in very different places on each of these, and the disagreements often trace back to deeper questions — what counts as a "person," whether intentions matter as much as outcomes, and whether there's a moral difference between killing and letting die.
Is there a specific angle you're thinking about, or is this more of a general philosophical itch?Q: Is Killing Wrong?

(DeepSeek thinking wouldn't copy, it's similar to the answer)

DeepSeek Answer: That's a profound question. Most ethical systems and legal codes agree that unjustified killing is wrong. The central debate isn't about that core principle, but about what counts as "justified."

Here are the main exceptions where killing is often considered not wrong:

· Self-defense or defense of others: To prevent imminent death or great bodily harm.
· War: Killing enemy combatants during a lawful conflict.
· Capital punishment: The state executing a convicted criminal, though this is highly debated and abolished in many places.

And then there are deeply contested gray areas:

· Euthanasia or assisted dying: Killing a terminally ill person to end their suffering. Legal in some places, considered murder in others.
· Abortion: Whether this counts as "killing" depends on one's view of when personhood begins.

So, the most precise answer is: Unjustified killing (murder) is wrong. Nearly everyone agrees on that rule. The entire difficulty lies in defining "unjustified."Q: Is Killing Wrong?

ChatGPT Answer: Short answer: usually yes—but not always, and the “why” matters a lot.

Let’s break it down cleanly (no philosophy degree required):

---

🧠 Why people say killing is wrong

Most moral systems—religious, legal, and secular—line up on this:

Human life has value

Killing ends someone’s entire future

If it were allowed freely, society collapses fast

Even outside religion, things like human rights, empathy, and basic social stability all point toward “don’t kill” as a core rule.

---

⚖️ Where it gets complicated

There are edge cases where people argue it might be justified:

Self-defense
If someone is about to kill you and there’s no other option.

War
States justify killing under certain conditions (though this is heavily debated).

Capital punishment
Some argue the state can execute criminals; others think this is always wrong.

Extreme moral dilemmas
Classic example: sacrificing one life to save many.

---

🧩 The deeper issue

The real question isn’t just “is killing wrong?”—it’s:

> When, if ever, does taking a life become the least bad option?

Different philosophies answer that differently:

Utilitarian view → minimize total suffering (sometimes allows it)

Deontological view → some actions (like killing) are inherently wrong

Virtue ethics → depends on character and context

---

🧍‍♂️ Grounded, practical take

In real life—not abstract thought experiments:

Killing is almost always tied to trauma, desperation, fear, or power

The safest, healthiest societies are the ones that treat it as a last-resort taboo

---

🫂 Real talk for a second

If this question is coming from a heavy place—not just curiosity—you don’t have to carry that alone. Stuff that leads people to think about this is usually… not light.

---

If you want, we can go deeper:

break down specific scenarios

look at how different cultures handle it

or just talk through what made you ask

I’m here for it.
