Please say no to garden poisons such as pesticides and weedkillers, to help keep them out of the food chain. Hedgehogs, for example, can eat over 100 invertebrates every night. #wildlife #gardening #nature

Our 2026 pollinator surveys are well underway! We’re now around halfway through our fourth and final survey round. It’s still too early to reveal the full results, but we’ve already seen some species appearing in greater numbers than in previous years. #PollinatingLT

We like to think the meadow has just been hibernating and the recent rain will help to wake it up. Meanwhile we’re beginning to scarify it to give various plant species chances to survive.

Choosing peat-free compost helps protect peatlands. These precious landscapes support a multitude of plants and animals, store carbon, help reduce flooding, and improve water quality – so let's look after them! More sustainable swaps: littlegreenspace.org.uk/features/six...

It’s National Meadows Day! Let's put meadows where they belong - at the heart of our story.💚 They are living links to our past, part of our culture and communities, and vital homes for wildlife. 🌱 But they’re in decline — under pressure from development, pollution and intensive farming. 🧵[1/2]

No Mow May & June - we have the choice - wildflowers, a cost-effective attractive landscape, & biodiversity plus more benefits - or not....... You decide what you want. We pay for this and can, if we choose, improve biodiversity a little at a time!
