- that devs make money based on amount of sales - that devs decide which game to make / decide about content - that devs aren't gamers / don't like games - that publishers are devs - that game dev is just fun so we don't need good wages and rights and stuff

Yesterday’s layoffs at Bethesda Games Studios were not a cut of “14 layers of management”. We lost dozens of programmers, artists, designers and testers. Many of whom worked at BGS for decades.

If Bethesda fans are worried this will harm the quality of our future games, like TES VI, let Microsoft know!

Why is this so common with video games. Game devs: we can't fix it. modder high on THC and a lethal level of energy drinks: I fixed it in 3 seconds. but it wasn't enough so I re-did there whole code and now everything works... it took me 2 hours.
