I'm looking for #musicians in #philly (near Center City) who wanna jam, network, and help provide some feedback together. I miss my music community back in Jersey, and I can't believe how talented the scene is here. I want to contribute and learn from the vibe here.

Dude @ Gym: "Hey can I work in with you?" Me: "Sure thing, man." Dude: *proceeds to do literally 50 reps, pauses* Me: *motions to go in* Dude: "Hey man, chill, I have 3 more sets before my rest. Relax." This is why I have trust issues.

This program is a very comfortable B+ I like a lot & makes me wish @gailsimone.bsky.social, @kierongillen.bsky.social, & @mikecarey.bsky.social wrote Green Lantern & could be part of shaping this story. What is here is fun and exciting, reminds me of why I love GL, and makes me ready for more.

It is definitely its own thing. It's *not* the GL comics. It's like they took all the paints you would use to paint a GL portrait, and painted it from instructions without looking at the original painting. It's uncanny, familiar, and decidely unique and special. We'll see how the series goes!

Just sitting here watching #Lanterns and taking extensive and copious notes on this alternate Corps Lore. It's got its own vibe, it's not tied to the canon in any significant way, but it's doing a good job charging from the central battery, with two exquisitely cast leads.

While driving to camp, a rock flew up and hit my windshield. It was the smallest little chip. Within 48 hours, it was my entire windshield. $1000 and a ton of frustration later, I am getting a new windshield. Buh.

I gotta lotta feelings about this lantern & ring. I like the design and the exploration beyond the basic visual identity. Buuuut. Man the trailers & reviews have me nervous. And that makes me feel like it's an effort to get away from the canon.

And it's okay that some things change and don't go how I envisioned them. That's life. But the Type-A guy planner in me struggles with these feelings. But I know it's worth it for whatever shape the future will take. Whatever, whenever, and whoever is waiting for me down the line, it'll be mine.

And it's not that I can't be flexible. But I find myself feeling like a low priority to a lot of people. After an exceptional period of time of feeling this way, I feel I have to adjust my priorities. Which leaves me feeling guilty. I plan and I plan, so I build these ideas of what things will be.

As a Type-A guy who spends a lot of time planning (by necessity -- 50 hour/wk job with 97 employees, law school prep, running 3 podcasts, writing a musical debuting in 2027, open mic nights, 3 partners, 2 addresses, and my downtime), when plans don't go according to plan, I find myself frustrated.
