Went to hear the Seattle Symphony play the soundtrack to a projected Raiders of the Lost Ark in real time tonight. They absolutely killed. #SeattleSymphony

A picture taken inside Benaroya hall showing the scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark where Indiana Jones is about to grab the gold idol. Also in the shot is the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.

Getting around to organizing my 400ish books, about 40% done. My 1980s copy of The Anarchist Cookbook is filed with my cookbooks, because where else would I put it?

Four shelves filled with a bunch of books.

Since 1987, I have gone through many pairs of my only sneaker, the Adidas Samba. They seem to be in fashion?

Picture of me as a young man wearing Adidas Sambas while playing harmonica.

Just seen at Seatac: if you want something done right…

A captain from a Lufthansa Airbus A330 leans out of the cockpit to clean the outside window.

Last night's live performance of Vangelis' Blade Runner soundtrack sync to film by The Avex Ensemble at Benaroya Hall was pretty awesome.

Good day today! An amazingly talented young lady made a cool video for Space Invader, release on Friday. I may have solved my "deep frying a turkey breast" dilemma that's been consuming my thoughts for months. And a good day at the range, where I was given two free boxes of lovely ammo!

Loved Monkey Wrench Gang when I read it as a teen. Some other cool titles there. Working my way from L to R. I foolishly bought the LOEB (parallel translation) Aurelius thinking he, a Roman, would have written in Latin: he wrote in Greek, and my college Greek is beyond decrepit.

I think you posted something similar on Twitter, and I answered with the same picture. My dad died when I was 18 months, so this Super 8mm screen capture conjures happiness for me. There are also a couple of entries in his diary, but those are for me.

In 1991, a friend gave me directions to the grave of legend Robert Johnson. Years later, I was awed at Gil Scott-Heron’s cover of Johnson’s “Me and the Devil Blues." Both versions draw you in, but can be uncomfortable to hear because of their intensity and intimacy. youtu.be/OET8SVAGELA?...

Could not agree with you more. Also, good writing. Or license a book or something. Late 90s Marathon was like 1/3 reading a decent book, 2/3 playing a great game (for the time.)

I own the two-DVD version. Amazing theme. So cool about MS - didn’t know about that.

Goscinny was a genius. You can see my Lucky Luke and Asterix books to the right and left!

Found out I was cooking lunch for 4 this morning. Made do with what was around, grateful to have food & drink on our table: chicken pineapple curry & rice, Portuguese red, French rosé, Florida lettuce, Guadeloupe tomatoes & eggs. Dessert was local sorbet + Financiers from Seattle! Happy xmas!

If you order from Amazon, after your delivery, type “thank my driver” in the main search box and click the link. If it’s to be believed, Amazon will pay your driver an extra $5 dollars at no cost to you.

My 94-year old mom leaves messages when I miss the call. These messages are in French. I haven't set up Apple's voice mail transcription for French because they're sometimes kind of funny.

Atari 800, but don’t have a picture of it. Apple IIc, still works!

Same could be said for 80s with creativity & limitations, although I mostly miss the artwork from Atari 2600 game boxes, rather than the actual games. Except Defender.
